TeamworkMina is well-aware of her own passivity. She knows she has a hard time saying 'no' to others, and she's been working on improving it. (She gets a lot of practice with her girlfriend Sana, who manages to elicit a firm 'no' from her on a daily basis thanks to her absurd suggestions.) But when her precious underclassman Tzuyu practically pleaded her to take her place in the upcoming dance collaboration, Mina couldn't find a single cell in her body willing to refuse - and she knows now that it was definitely a mistake.
Mina knows this isn't a good idea. She knows this isn't working for any of them.
She had discussed the details of the collaboration with Sana beforehand to make sure that her girlfriend would approve of it (especially since it was a relatively physical couple dance), and Sana encouraged Mina to pursue whatever she wanted, regardless of anyone else's opinions, including her own. Sana isn't the type of person to withhold from expressing her feelings, but Mina could easily see that she was jealous and trying her best not to show it. On the other hand, despite Momo's unwavering, lifelong passion for dance, Mina could tell that something was bothering and distracting her - to the extent in which she would completely space out during practice. Even Tzuyu, who originally asked her to be her replacement in the dance collaboration, seems just as sulky and miserable as everyone else involved. Mina herself specializes in ballet, a type of dance that requires discipline yet grace, and she finds some personal difficulty in adjusting to the hard-hitting, knife-like movements required in Momo and Tzuyu's style of dancing.
All in all, it appears that her replacing Tzuyu in the dance collaboration only created more problems than what they had prior. Mina never even found out the reason why the younger girl wanted out, but she has a feeling it has something to do with how she and Momo are avoiding each other. Perhaps, if she managed to sort out the origin of their problems, Tzuyu would reclaim her place in the dance collaboration, she and Momo would start speaking to each other again, Sana would stop moping behind her back, and Mina could return to her usual affairs as president of the ballet club. All they needed to do was resolve the root issue that started this mess.
Unfortunately, that was much easier said than done.
After a few text messages and phone calls, Mina finds herself seated at a secret birdwatching club meeting organized by proud president Dahyun (secret because neither Tzuyu or Momo were invited). Everyone suggests their own individual theory as to why the two dance captains were
