The Simple Things: the way you kiss my cheek when you think that I’m asleep, I love it so much 

It was still dark when she opened her eyes. The orange light dimly lighting the room, shedding light on the picture frame sat on the bedside table. A smile ghosted on her lips as she rubbed her eyes, reminiscing the old memory captured on the photo. Two girls in an intimate embrace, one was her and the other one, the love of her life. 

Jessica Jung, she used to be a dream. But now she’s her reality.  

Sometimes when she wakes up next to her, Taeyeon would pinch herself to make sure that this is real. That Jessica, the Jessica she used to only look from afar is really hers. Taeyeon’s. And she would smile. Stupidly. Because every time she pinches herself, it would hurt. 

She’s only an aspiring musician. Gigs were scarce. She could barely provide for herself.  

Jessica, on the other hand lived in a completely different world from her. A doctor, a successful one at that. She used to be the smartest in the school - the prettiest too. So it was a miracle the first time she even gave Taeyeon a second of her attention. And a divine intervention when she said yes when 18-year-old Taeyeon with an old, scratched guitar from her late father, sang a confession to her, and asked her to be her girlfriend. She promised her three things: one, she’d love her until she can, two; she’d sing for her when times get rough, or at times when happiness is all they know, and lastly, she’d give her the best life,
