True to his word, Kibum woke everyone up early the next morning. You would have been more excited about the day if someone had told you what you were doing and where you were going but since they (mostly Key and Minho) were determined to keep you from finding out, you woke up feeling exceptionally grumpy.

It seemed like some of your feelings had rubbed off on Minhyuk because instead of being his usual smiley self when he woke up, he threw a little temper tantrum and started to cry with all his might. You ended up having to carry him and soothe him for over half an hour before he calmed down enough to be fed.

You stood in front of your closet feeling a little frustrated. You didn’t what to wear and how to dress and when you asked Kibum, he gave you a very nonchalant reply of “Anything. It doesn’t matter”, which of course did not help at all. You huffed in irritation before finally deciding on a simple cream-coloured top and paired it with black skinny jeans. You threw on a green cardigan and caught sight of your reflection in the mirror. You like how the outfit looked on you so you quickly brushed your hair and left the room.

Kibum had rented a car and hired a driver for the day so all of you quickly piled into the car to escape from the cold. The drive took about 40 minutes before you reached the place. When you stepped out of the car, you saw this really grand building which looked and felt like it was the lobby of a hotel. You walked around and explored the large lobby and discovered that this place was a spa resort.

You were looking at some brochures when you felt a gentle tug on your wrist. You looked at the fingers around your wrist and your eyes followed the attached arm back to it’s owner, who turned out to be Jinki. “Come on. Kibum’s calling.” Jinki gave you a sleepy smile as he had fallen asleep in the car. He brought you back to where the others were standing and Minho had Minhyuk strapped to his chest in a baby carrier. This was the first time you had brought Minhyuk out but he was looking around with total fascination in his eyes.

“Ok, so everything has been arranged already and… pumpkin?” You turned your attention from Minhyuk to Kibum when he called you.

“You go that way and follow that lady. We’ll be going the other way but we will meet you back here when you’re done. Okay?” He instructed.

“Wait. What are you all going to be doing? And what about Minhyuk?” You asked, slightly puzzled. Surely, Minhyuk was too young to be doing any spa treatments.

“Don’t worry about us, we’ll be at the indoor pool. Well, mostly the kiddy pool since Minhyuk can’t swim. Go on.” Kibum urged and you walked towards the lady who was waiting at the side and followed her.

You were led to a room and asked to change into the robe provided and was then treated to a full-body massage and a mani- and pedicure after that. While you were enjoying being pampered, the boys were in another part of the resort enjoying their time in the heated indoor pool. There weren’t many people that day so it was perfect for Minhyuk to have his first swimming lesson. Minho took charge of everything when they arrived at the pool while Kibum watched over them from the pool chairs at the side. He didn’t worry too much since Minho was the athletic one and could take good care of Minhyuk as well. It was actually pretty funny to watch the tall and lanky Minho sit in the shallow baby pool and play with Minhyuk who was sitting in his inflatable float.

You met up with them slightly more than two hours later and saw that everyone but Kibum had damp hair. “Aigoo! You all can’t go out in the cold with wet hair! You’ll get a cold!” You chided.

“That’s what I told them but they wouldn’t listen!” Kibum added exasperatedly.

“But we didn’t want to make you wait for us.” Jonghyun pouted.

“Aww.. that’s really nice but I don’t want you all to fall sick just because of that.”

“How about we have lunch here then? That way, we can fill our stomachs while waiting for everyone’s hair to dry.” Kibum suggested.

“Great idea! Let’s go, I’m starving!” You exclaimed.

“Umm.. what are we doing here? I thought we were on the way home?” You had fallen asleep in the car after lunch and were now standing in front of the mall.

“Home? No, not yet. We still haven’t given you your entire present yet! Earlier was just part one! Come on!” Jonghyun gently pushed you forward into the mall.

You were led to a salon and pushed into one of the chairs. You tried to stand up but Jonghyun placed his hands on your shoulders, pushed you back down and kept his hands there. Kibum and one of the hair stylists were standing at the back talking in hushed voices while casting occasional glances at you and nodding. It made you feel awkward and rather uncomfortable but Jonghyun’s hands were still resting on your shoulders so there was no way you could escape.

You tapped one of Jonghyun’s hands and motioned him to come closer. “What am I doing here?” You whispered in his ear.

“For you to get a haircut, of course!” He chuckled at your obvious question.

“But why? I like my hair like this.” You protested.

He leaned in closer to you and whispered in your ear. “I’m not saying that your hair is bad but we’ve decided to give you a makeover and this is just part of it. So, play along, alright?” He looked at you in the mirror for a response and you nodded. “Good, but I don’t think you can run away from Kibum anyway.” He looked at Kibum, who was still engaged in a discussion with the stylist, in the mirror before smirking and it sent a chill down your spine.

When Kibum was done with the stylist, the guy came over and started to work on your hair immediately. You saw Kibum pull Jonghyun, who had released his hold on you, and Taemin to the side and whispered something to them before they nodded and left the salon.

You were still staring at Kibum when he turned around and you locked gazes with him in the mirror before he offered you a small smile. You knew that he was trying to reassure you with that smile but you couldn’t help but wonder what was going to happen next!
