That evening, you went home to find a sulky Kibum cooking in the kitchen. “Don’t blame me if the food tastes like crap later.” He huffed when he saw you.

You chuckled before heading to the bathroom to take a quick shower before dinner was ready. Dinner turned out to be fantastic as usual. The food didn’t taste any different from his usual standard and that just made Kibum that much more frustrated. You guessed that he had hoped for the food to turn out horrible so that you would think twice about annoying him the next time. Unfortunately, it had backfired.

This time, Kibum helped you with the dishes after dinner. You chuckled when you saw him wiping the dishes with so much fervour. “Slow down, Kibummie. You really don’t want to end up breaking the plates.”

“Easy for you to say! You’re not the one who’s waiting!” He protested but slowed down anyway. “You’re just doing this as revenge, aren’t you?” He narrowed his eyes at you.

“What are you talking about?” You feigned innocence.

He huffed and went back to drying the dishes.

Kibum was still sulking and had his arms folded across his chest when you had connected to the web chat with his band members. When the video window popped out on the screen, you only saw Taemin on the other end. “Hello Taeminnie!!” You greeted. “Where are the rest?”

“HYUNGS! ------ noona is on the chat!!” He called out before smiling at you. “Hello, omma and noona! Hyungs are coming.” He frowned a little when Kibum didn’t respond to his greeting but before he could ask, Minho arrived and ruffled his hair before settling down beside him and turning to the screen.

“Hello, noona. Hey, Kibum hyung.”

“Hey, Minho.” You smiled. Kibum still didn’t respond and Minho raised one of his brows, giving Taemin a questioning look, to which Taemin just shrugged.

Jinki was the next to arrive and he literally stumbled into the conversation. His clumsiness actually managed to draw a response from Kibum, which came out in the form of a scoff. “Hello, -------ah.” He said, sheepishly.

“Hello, Jinki oppa!”

Jonghyun followed behind Jinki and greeted you cheerfully but when he saw Kibum, he toned down immediately. “Yeobo, what’s with the face?”

“Ask her!” He looked accusingly at you.

You snickered. “Oh come on Kibummie! It was meant to be a surprise for all of you. I couldn’t ruin it. I promise that it’ll be worth the wait!” You nudged him until he unfolded his arms and stopped sulking, well for most part anyway, as he was still pouting ever so slightly.

You didn’t notice but the other four members were watching the scene, between you and Kibum, unfold with awe. Kibum didn’t get angry that often but he did have his moods and when he was in one of those moods, they always left him alone until he cooled down. They knew better than to disturb him but you just managed to calm him down right in front of their eyes. Even Jinki couldn’t believe it!

You turned back to the screen only to be greeted by the sight of the four of them staring bewilderedly at you. You tilted your head slightly. “What’s wrong guys?”

They shook their heads and Jinki closed his mouth. “Nothing.” They chorused.

You shrugged. “Ok then. Anyway, what I wanted to tell all of you is that today, at the doctor’s appointment, I had another scan done and the doctor told me the of my baby.” You paused.

“And?” Kibum urged.

“And… I’m having a boy!” You announced.

Cheers erupted on both ends of the conversation. Kibum was jumping around excitedly while the others were clapping and shouting congratulations. You smiled at their silliness but you were glad that they shared your joy and were genuinely happy for you.

“Oh!” You felt a sudden kick and placed your hand on your belly.

Kibum was at your side instantly. “What? What’s wrong?”

You gave him a reassuring smile. “Nothing. He just kicked.” You rubbed your belly in soothing circles.

“Aww man! Not again! I’ve missed every single one of his kicks in the last two weeks! When will I ever be able to feel it?!” He whined.

You laughed at him before you remembered something. You stood up and went into your bedroom to get what you wanted. You came back with the belly belt that he bought and his mp3.

“What’s that, noona?” Taemin asked.

“It’s a belt with built-in speakers for the baby, so he can listen to music. Your hyung bought it for me.” You answered.

“No fair! Yeobo! Why don’t you buy me gifts?” Jonghyun protested.

“Why did you bring it out now?” Kibum asked you, ignoring Jonghyun in the process.

“You’ll see! Can you help me strap it?” You turned so that your back was to him and he secured the belt in place.

“Yeobo~~~” Jonghyun whined.

Kibum gave him a sharp look and he stopped whining immediately, resorting to pouting sadly instead.

Taemin nudged Jonghyun. “Omma doesn’t like you. He buys me clothes all the ti-.” He bragged before Minho covered his mouth with his hand and pulled him away from Jonghyun.

You plugged the belt to the mp3 player and played the playlist. Sure enough, after a while, you felt kicks. You quickly grabbed Kibum’s wrist and placed his palm on your belly.

*Kick*

Kibum withdrew his hand immediately and gasped. “Was that?”

“Yup. He kicked.” You nodded and smiled.

“My baby son kicked!” He said incredulously before placing his hand back on your belly.

“Er… sorry to interrupt this, but hyung, noona’s baby is… um… not your son.” Minho stated hesitantly.

“I know. That’s just too bad.” You raised your eyebrows at that but chose not to say anything. “But I can be his godfather right? -------?” Kibum gave you that puppy-look that you just couldn’t say no to, not that you wanted to though.

“Of course you can!” You confirmed.

A chorus of “me too”s and “no, pick me”s erupted from the rest of the members. Frankly, you were quite surprised that all of them wanted to be your son’s godfather. You could understand Kibum’s request but you couldn’t understand why the rest wanted it so badly too.

“Shush!” Kibum commanded and they fell silent at once.

You laughed. He really was their mother. “Don’t fight with each other. I’m sure my son won’t mind having more than one godfather, or 5 for that matter.” You smiled.

Another round of cheers and whoops erupted and Kibum just smiled and shook his head.
