Chapter 15                                                                 “Woaaaaaaaaahhhh!” Tao shrieked on top of his lungs when Kyungsoo’s driving was threatening to kill them all. The box-like guy had taken over the wheel over the racquet and chaos that before they knew it, they were being led to their very own roller coaster. It was as free as it was dangerous. The car kept swerving back and forth in a zig zag line as Kyungsoo squinted at in front. He was diagnosed with astigmatism and his eyes were killing him, his hands turning the steering wheel all the way until everyone was squished to one side. However, it all ended when the car in front of them that sped easily along the roads went into a building parking lot that seemed like a research center. In Luhan’s car, Kris and Baekyoung were unconscious and none of them were breathing normally. Kai was taking care of trying to apply pressure on their injuries while Minseok sat beside Luhan telling him where to go. “Baekyoung hyung’s heart is becoming faint.” Kai was putting his ear against Baekyoung’s chest, checking his heart beat to make sure he was still alive. Baekyoung’s heart was still beating but even to someone as un-educated to Kai, he knew that the rhythm wasn’t normal. “It’s a research center but the last floor has a nurse room and it probably has everything.” Minsoek who has been silent for so long said and Luhan almost jumped at his voice. Minseok was so silent and all he did was give Luhan hand signals and now that he was talking, Luhan found his voice weird. Somewhat like a child that suited his baby face.   Luhan parked the car straight at the underground entrance and they all moved fast. Kyungsoo’s car came rumbling behind them and he did another swerve- if he didn’t, he would have wrecked the car Luhan had driven. “Help.” Kai said to Luhan who boosted Baekyoung onto his shoulders, Kai taking care of Kris. While they were trying to balance the bodies on their backs, Chen and Baekhyun had taken ownership of the silencers that were at the back seat. Baekhyun was no longer crying but he had his mind set on saving his older brother, his movements becoming more precise and faster. Tao gripped the iron bar, Minseok helping Sehun out of the car. They have   met before when he was a prisoner and he was a gaurd but all they did was exchange awkward glances, Minseok letting Sehun lean on him while they all pushed through the entrance. Luhan had looked back and was gritting his teeth, shaking his head to remove all thoughts from his mind. “Tao, be careful.” Kai had said to his best friend that was now taking the lead, everyone trying to move as fast as they can. Tao continued forward, taking a defensive stance, everyone’s footsteps following him as fast as they can. “It’s the room to the right, all the things are there.” Minseok told everyone, Luhan trying the knob frantically but it was locked. Luhan quickly laid Baekyoung onto the ground and with a piece of broken glass; he had unlocked the door after a few minutes while everyone waited nervously. Luhan kicked the door open, dragging Baekyoung into the room by the leg when a voice rang out loudly making them stop momentarily.   “Stop right there! Who are you people?!” The sound was by a short and pale man who was wearing a lab coat and had his glasses on. He was holding a tweezer and it was not the best weapon around to go against both zombies and people. He seemed nervous at their arrival but no one paid attention to him. Kyungsoo closed the door behind all of them with a bang and they ignored the guy wearing the lab coat, Luhan laying Baekyoung on the silver table that seemed to be for operating people. Minseok was right, the place had everything. There were tables lined up, medicine and equipment everywhere. It was more like a storage room than a hospital. Baekhyun was biting his lip and he ran around finding what he needed. They needed to take out the bullet and make sure his brother did not lose any more blood. The young boy wasn’t that experienced but when he saw the bunch of packaged blood, he grabbed it hastily. No one was paying attention to the stranger that was staring at all of them nervously, wiping his sweat with his hands.   “Do your brother first; he’s in a critical condition.” Kai told Baekhyun who was trembling. He was worried that he would do something wrong and kill his own brother, the amount of pressure on him at a time like this was enough for him to feel like killing both him and his brother to escape on how cruel the world has become. “I-I.. T-Take the bullet out first.” The nursing student pushed his brother’s shirt up and saw the amount of blood that had seeped out from the wound. “Open the wound with a scalpel.” He mumbled to himself and cut open the wound wider to remove the bullet, more blood flowing out. He saw his brother’s lips paling and before he knew it, a presence was beside him. The guy in the lab coat had taken a tweezer, removing the bullet. He seemed to know what he was doing and Baekhyun felt his heart lighten up when the guy put the bullet down on the tray. “Clamp.” The guy said suddenly and Baekhyun panicked for awhile before realizing that the guy was talking to him. Baekhyun grabbed the clamp and the guy inserted it in to control the bleeding. “The bullet has gotten in deep but he has lost so much blood.” The guy told Baekhyun who nodded. “Take a sample of the blood and check what type he is, when you find out see if we have it in the storage. I’ll stitch him up and prepare him for blood transfusion.” Baekhyun nodded again, his trembling fingers quickly working to get a few drops of his brother’s blood that had spilled. He had no idea what blood type his brother was; he never paid attention to it. This made him feel guilty; if the same happened to him Baekyoung would probably be able to recite everything about him like a book. He found a blood testing kit and dropped the blood on it, tapping his fingers on the metal table impatiently. His eyes had caught the name on the guys lab coat, reading it aloud making the guy look at him. “Kim Joonmyun.” “What blood type is he?” “A Rh positive.” Baekhyun answered and Joonmyun nodded, giving him instructions on what to do next, teaching him patiently step by step the whole way.   ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________     Everyone was exhausted and most of them were sleeping. Chen was awake, helping Baekhyun with cleaning the remaining blood that had spread all over the table. Tao too, was awake and he was helping Joonmyun with Kris. “Get the Electrocardiograph Machine and drag it over here.” Joonmyun told Tao who looked at him with confusion. “Eh?” “Get the Electrocardiograph Machine.” Joonmyun repeated and Tao looked at him like he was hearing an alien talk. “Is that some kind of dinosaur?” Tao asked Joonmyun stupidly and Joonmyun cracked a smile that made Tao smile back. “The heart monitor. We have to check his heart rate.” Joonmyun replied and Tao nodded like he understood, heading back. At least he knew what a heart monitor looked like; he had seen it in Adam Levine’s music video. To Tao, it was the machine that gave out a loud beeeeeeeep whenever someone died. He searched through the machines at the back room, pulling cloths that were covering them, the dust flying everywhere. When he found it, he dragged it over to Joonmyun, watching in awe as Joonmyun placed points on Kris’ body to monitor his heart beat. After getting another order to get another one so Joonmyun could do the same to Baekyoung, Tao saw Chen yawn. “You should get some rest.” Tao told the older dinosaur faced boy who rubbed his eyes. Chen felt that he had not contributed to anything but for some reason, he was sleepy. Tao nudged him to go get some sleep, Chen finally giving in to his inner desire. Baekhyun was holding his brother’s hand, staring at Baekyoung’s face. Joonmyun who had finished putting up the monitor checked his heart beat. “He’s going to be fine. His heart is beating, he’s just weak.” Joonmyun told Baekhyun. The younger boy tightened his grip on his brother’s hand and Joonmyun prodded him. “Why don’t you rest, I’ll take care of the rest here.” Baekhyun shook his head at Joonmyun’s recommendation. He wanted to stay with his older brother as much as possible. “Go.”   Without wanting to further the conversation, Baekhyun just accepted it. However, his body was pumped and even with the lack of sleep, he could not close his eyes without feeling bad about himself. If he hadn’t gone back to get the iron bar, his brother would still be fine. His self conscious was ruining him and he wanted to go for a walk. He took a look around, Joonmyun’s back against him. The puppy boy grabbed the silencer that he had put there before, going to the door and unlocking it before leaving the room. He didn’t know how dangerous it was, but he just needed air. The moment he closed the door behind him

Chapter 37: <span class='smalltext text--lighter'>Comment on <a href='/story/view/955370/37'>Epilogue</a></span>
This fic had everything: action, suspense, mystery, horror, gore, comedy, romance... even some plot twists. Although the story took a long time to complete, i feel a little empty as it has come to an end. The ending was rushed though.

Can't wait to read your next apocalypse fic.

Chapter 37: This was a really good story❤ I had to take a 5 hour break before starting the second season lol. The plot twists were awesome. I kept yelling and squirming everytime an action scene happened. Now I'll go and read The Rise Of The Mages :)
