— Hanna is the type of girl to not take no for an answer. She has faced a lot in her life so far and has relied on dancing and singing to get her through it. She is headstrong and resilient. You can knock her down but she'll get back up. She has a lot of insecurities due to having bounced from company to company. She believes that her skills are subpar. With help from her members, she has overcome this fear for the most part but it still haunts her. Ironically, she is also one of the more fearless members of the group. She is hardly scared of anything, from heights to bugs to the dark. She has very little material fears. She is one of the protectors of the group. She is quite down to earth about her popularity. She’s aware that she’s well liked but doesn't see that as important. To her, the most important thing is to excel in what she does. She gets flustered when receiving praise or when teased. She has a lot of friends and is also known as the "phonebook" of the group. She is smart and mature, placing importance in education. She is a closet romantic and binge watches dramas and movies when she's upset. She likes to eat and is lucky enough to not gain any weight from that. She is the one to deal with the disputes in the group when the leader isn't there. Originally, she liked to keep to herself, and she still does, but her members will force her to get involved in their business. She is generally quite level headed and doesn't anger easily. — Hanna comes from a family of 5 children. She is the absolute middle child. She has an older brother (age 22) and an older sister (age 20), and two younger siblings, a younger brother (age 15) and a younger sister (age 13). Her parents worked all day, so it was up to her and her elder siblings to take care of the younger ones. Her elder brother and sister turned into parent figures and Hanna turned into the elder sister. Her job was to make sure they didn't get hurt. From a young age, it was apparent that Hanna was a natural at singing and dancing. She would hold mini-concerts for her family. Unfortunately, having to take care of her younger siblings never gave her a chance to really pursue singing and dancing. She took vocal lessons from when she was 11-13, but had to quit because her brother was about to go off to college and Hanna had to take care of the younger ones. She danced ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop, however, from age 3-17 at a studio, under the guidance of the teachers there. Dancing was the one thing that Hanna would not give up. She made up for having to miss afterschool sessions by coming in late, etc.
When she was 13, her mom, seeing how miserable it made Hanna to not be able to sing, told Hanna to go audition. She initially auditioned in the UK as they did not move back to Korea until Hanna was 14. Hanna was initially rejected due to her lack of singing prowess. She trained her voice further and then auditioned for SM when she was 15. Miraculously for Hanna, they liked her voice, dancing, and looks enough to accept her. She then received special vocal training which revealed that she had all the makings of a main vocalist. She continued to train with her group while managing school and her family at the same time.
Prior to debuting, Hanna displayed amazing acting talent as well as singing and dancing and was thus offered many acting roles. She appeared as side characters in several movies and even starred in a few music videos. She played supporting roles in some dramas. She modeled for a few different designers and magazines. She acted in several commercials, including a long chain of commercials concerning an abandoned bride, played by Hanna, who falls in love with an upcoming business man while crying on the side of the street in a wedding dress. Post debut, Hanna starred in a few other short drama series and modeled for several magazines.

— Hanna is very pale and cannot take too much heat. Thus, outdoor sports are a no-no for Hanna. Hanna loves watching football(soccer). — Being members of the '93 line, they were supposed to treat each other like chingus. The thing is, Hanna and Taemin got off to a bad start. When Hanna first met Taemin, they were at a rookie get together which Taemin came to because of Kai. Hanna accidentally spilled her drink on Taemin while dancing. She felt really bad and tried to fix it, but it didn't work. Taemin, however, was in a bad mood and snapped at her to watch where she was going next time. She narrowed her eyes and him and curled her lip, but brushed it off. Taemin had been having a not-so-good day and was itching for a fight for once. Thus he kept antagonizing her, saying that how could she be such a clumsy rookie, but she never let it affect her. Taemin kept going until she snapped when he said that she would make a fool out of her group on stage due to her carelessness. Hanna glared at him and told him that she was quite graceful enough, thank you very much, and that if he was such an expert, what was HE doing at a rookie get-together. She then walked away from him. Taemin was intrigued by her as a result, as she had never once seemed in awe of him and as she actually snapped back at him. He thought she looked beautiful when she was angry. Ever since then, he's been teasing her and bothering her all the time. Somewhere along the line, she grew accustomed to him and started liking him, even when he was teasing her. Taemin, too, started having feelings for her, but neither are sure how to get into a relationship from where they are. They're also worried about what could happen to their careers if they start dating.
