Eventually it had arrived, the moment I had equally feared and awaited.
When would I see him again? Would I ever see him again?

I watched Taehyun walk down a couple of stairs before turning to me once more. His eyes lingered on me for a moment,
before his lips formed a small sad smile.

"See you" he said.

"See you" I replied, wiping my eyes as well and finally he disappeared.

After listening to his steps descending in the staircase for a while, I gave the door a small push and watched it click shut. My eyes directed at the closed door in front of me, I felt my eyes b with tears. Although they soon overflowed, I wasn't feeling the amount of pain I had expected. My heart felt like a leg that had gone to sleep. Numb and unable to move. My brain told me to be sad, but still I felt a strange sensation of relief, paired with this numb emptiness.

Walking back into the living room, I threw a glance at the table with the evidence of our last time together. Two empty cups of tea, candy wrappers and the receipts he had doodled on. It looked like a 3D capture of a moment which I couldn't leave my eyes off. His scent still lingered in the fabric of my sofa as I sat down on it and leaned back to listen to Korean indie music which played quietly in the background.

In the very last minute, when I had thought I had finally figured him out, Taehyun had opened another book full of riddles.
Only this time, there was no chance for me to find them out anymore. 

He was gone.
