The shades that once guarded my eyes had slipped down revealing my ugly face. A face of a liar. The face of a girl who was a green eyed monster. The face of a terrible friend.

“I did it...because I love you.”

The anger on his face melted away and now he looked at me with great confusion. His grip on me had loosen up and he just stood there like a frozen statue. I took this as an opportunity to flee from him. I didn't want to hear anymore that he had to say. Because I knew that it was over and that blank facial expression was a sign that I crossed the line.
