“I-.. I really like you!” he finally brings himself to say, his heart beating loudly in his ribcage and his face flushing red. “W-will you go out with me?”

“Sungyeol..”

He knows. He knows it already. But he wanted to try, so that she’ll fall for him when she knows he likes her.

“I already like someone else.. I’m sorry.” Saeron says and he hates to see that smile. It pierces his heart.

He wants to say something else, to tell her it’s okay, but it isn’t and he feels the tears creeping their way to his eyes. How weak he is to love annoys him.

“Saeron, aren’t you coming?” someone shouts and the girl beams. “We’re starting without you!”

“I’m coming!” she yells back. A final bow and a hug and she runs to someone he doesn’t recognizes from the place he’s standing.

“What a joke this is..” he laughs bitterly, tears, streaming down his face. However, he won’t give up. Why should he? He’s going to get her and if that’s the last thing he’ll do!
