Tattoo "i'm sorry" on the back of your ankle
as one more worthless apology to all of those
you walked away from when they needed you the most.

▒

Ahn Sohee sits in the waiting area of a tattoo parlor, on her phone but constantly looking up to check out her surroundings, perhaps reminding herself that she was actually going to do this. Of course she was. She was finally free to do whatever she wanted. She barely had any paparazzi following her and the news didn't care about her anymore so coming here was her first use of that freedom and last resort for apologies.

Sohee laughs, but continues. "Well, I used to be an idol."

When you become famous, people don't see you as human anymore. When you're famous, you're the property of the public. They own you. And after my innocence was taken away by the twisted and harsh realities of the music industry, I became cold and calculated. My fans even noticed this. They said I was unprofessional when I showed up at shows and never talked or never showed any emotion. Others said it was 'chic'. It wasn't that I was unprofessional or
