Why today out of all the days in the world.  It's nearing midnight, it's cold outside, and Youngbae's just on the outskirts of the city of Seoul.  But why?  He wasn't sight-seeing that day.  Instead, he was busy preparing for his next job venture after coming back from America.  Yet, now he's far from his cousin's apartment, where he is living at for the moment, where he could be sleeping.  But it's for an important cause.

It's the birthday of his long-time best friend, Chorong, and it's apparently gone sour for her.  Youngbae's hoobae called him up about her running off, and now she's sleeping in the back of his car.

Youngbae is acting calmly, doing what should be best at this moment for her, but he can't help but have some lingering thoughts in the back of his mind that he has hidden for years.  He's had feelings for Chorong since they had first played together as children and he knows that Chorong and his hoobae had broken up today, so this could be his chance.

But he also knows that their relationship is one that he had a hand in making, as well as this could just be a phase in high school relationships nowadays.  Youngbae is left to decide what he does as he leaves to drive the sleeping Chorong to an old friend's home.
