"Once upon a time, there was this boy. He used to have a rich father, who doted on him and took good care of him. However, his mother had died many years before, as she was ill. His father was lonely, even with the boy's company, and he remarried another woman. This woman had two brothers, who were ugly and mean. Soon after, the father died of the same illness as the boy's mother, but left his inheritance to his beloved son. Him stepmother and stepbrothers, however, treated him badly. He became the house's maid and lived in the attic."

"Really, mom? How did he even survive? I'm glad you're not evil like those people." The older woman let out a laugh at this, and continued.

"Well, he was nice enough to bear with it all, don't you think?"

"Once upon a time, there was a very good looking prince. However, he was very pretty. Even as a baby, many people mistook him for a princess, and his parents just laughed in amusement. A witch was insanely jealous of his beauty, and she cursed him. He would fall into an eternal sleep on his eighteenth birthday, after pricking his finger on a spindle wheel.”

“How evil, mom! What happened after that?” The little girl bounced up and down on her bed.

“Well, a fairy happened to be there, and she blessed him. He could only be woken up by true love’s kiss. The king tried to break the curse, and so, he sent the prince to live with three fairies in the woods.”
