Yoona’s Tears

The fight did not stop. Consumed by her anger, Yuri lose control of her own mind. The guys were sent flying everywhere, and some barely missed the Boss. They start to retreat as Yuri moves forward, in the direction of where the is sitting at, at a much faster pace. The retreating guys continue to get thrown away as they are unable to match up to Yuri’s speed. Seeing that the situation is out of control, the Boss decided to stop everything. He had seen enough.
“Let the girl go now.” The Boss told the erted guy beside him, as he watch his men getting flung against the wall and into the air.
“Let.. Let her go!” The erted guy shouted to his comrade, who is holding on to Yoona.
Upon getting free, Yoona ran towards Yuri and gave her a hug, locking her arms under hers.
“Stop it Yul! Stop!” Yoona screamed, as she tighten her hold, giving Yuri a squeeze.
The dark aura starts to decrease in size and Yuri’s face slowly brighten up. The pain that she fails to feel just now is all coming back at once, causing her to fall.
“.. Argh... Yoong...” Yuri groaned, but she felt relieved that Yoona is safe. However, she did not expect a different reaction from Yoona.
“Are you trying to kill yourself?!” Yoona knew it too well. Being in that devilish mode would drain Yuri’s energy rapidly. The lack of stamina from the fight before make it so much more dangerous for her as she might end up using all her power and energy, which might lead to losing her life.
“... I say I would..” Yuri tries to repeat her usual words but she was interrupted. By Yoona.
“Shut up! I hate it! I hate it when you are like that!” Yoona continues to shout, as tears start to flow. “I.. I.. I hate you! I hate you, Yul! You never listen!” After saying that, Yoona ran out of the warehouse, and did not even bother to turn back.
“Yoong!” Yuri tries to move but her body refuses to. It is too tired.
“Yuri.. Let me..” Sooyoung ran over to help Yuri immediately.
“Go and chase her now! Who knows what kind of trouble would she get into!” Yuri slapped Sooyoung’s hand away, refusing her help.
“I can’t leave you here in your current state and with these guys around.” Sooyoung insisted on helping Yuri despite Yuri’s refusal.
“Yuri!” A familiar voice was heard. The two girls turned around and saw a familiar shorty.
“... Taengoo...” Yuri called out weakly, puzzled about Taeyeon’s appearance here.
“Are you okay? And.. did something happen..? I see Yoona running out.. crying..” Taeyeon rushed over to help Yuri’s side to help her up. She knew that Yoona had always dislike the fact that Yuri is over-protective but it was definitely a rare sight to actually see Yoona crying. For years, she never seem to have cried before. Even after the incident ten years ago, she never shed a tear. And now, she is actually crying that much. Seeing that Yuri had chosen to keep quiet, she decided not to ask further. “Come on. Let’s go home..”
“Who say that you can go home? Stop them!” The erted guy ordered but no one moves. They are too scared.
“Let them go.” The Boss said, calmly.
“But Boss..” The erted guy tries to protest.
“Are you disobeying me?”
“Sor.. Sorry Boss..”
Taeyeon, together with Sooyoung, supported Yuri on both sides and aided her in walking.
“... Where did Yoong go...” Yuri suddenly murmured to herself. It was loud enough for Taeyeon to hear it.
“Don’t worry.. Seo went after her... They will be home soon...” Taeyeon gives Yuri a smile, and got a weak one in return. This time, Yuri did not even have the mood to tease Taeyeon about her height anymore. Yoona is out of her sight and she did not know where did she go to. She is getting too worried.
“Unnie..”
Yoona looked up, through her already blurred vision, and saw her little sister standing in front of her with a worried look.
“Seobaby...” Yoona pulled Seohyun in for a hug and continues to cry. She could not stop her tears. Seohyun patted her sister’s head gently a form of comfort. Almost fifteen minutes had passed. And the both of them remained still. Seeing that the crying had stopped and her sister had calmed down, Seohyun decided to find out what had happened. “Unnie.. What happen..?”
“It’s nothing...” Yoona pulls herself away from Seohyun and wiped her tears off with her hands. “Sorry for making your shirt wet...”
“It’s okay, unnie.. Let’s go home. It’s getting dark..” Seohyun held Yoona’s hand and led her back onto the street.
“Seobaby... Can I switch room with you?”
“Huh? Why?”
“Please? Can I?”
“... Yea.”
“Thanks”
The two of them continue their journey quietly, hand in hand. The atmosphere is awkward, especially because of Yoona’s refusal to talk about what happened.
While Taeyeon is treating Yuri’s injuries, the door bell rang. Seeming to know who it is, Taeyeon ran to the door and open it quickly, revealing her girlfriend, who is standing outside. Led by Taeyeon, Sunny walked into the living room, and was obviously shocked by the two injuries girls. “Oh my gosh. What happened?”
“Oh. Hi Sunny.. Oww...” Sooyoung greeted the shorty, and groaned when she accidentally strained on of her injuries. After Taeyeon’s brief explanation, Sunny gets to work instantly, helping Sooyoung to dress her wounds while Taeyeon helps Yuri with hers. The front door clicked, telling those in the house that someone is here. Yuri, after resting for a while, regain enough strength for her to stand up and walk to the door to find out whether it is Yoona or not. The door opened, and Seohyun appeared first. Yoona came in after her and saw Yuri. Immediately, she ignored Yuri and went upstairs without a word.
“Unnie... Did something happen..?” Seohyun asked, seeing that Yoona just ignored Yuri. “Yoona-unnie even requested to switch room with me...”
“It’s nothing, Seobaby...” Yuri watched as Yoona disappears upstairs before going back into the living room, clearly saddened. Those around her could somehow feel her sadness. This must be the first time Yuri had received this kind of treatment from Yoona. And it is definitely the first time that Taeyeon sees this two like this.
“Yuri..” Sooyoung called out suddenly.
“Yes..?”
“Mind if I go up to your room..?”
“Go ahead..”
“Thanks.” Sooyoung excused herself from the group and went upstairs. She stood in the corridor and stared at the two doors with no label. Making a wild guess, she knocked on the one on her right.
“Yoong? Are you in there?”
“... Youngie...?”
Oh.. correct guess...
“Yea.. It’s me. Can I come in?”
She waited for nearly one minute before the door opens, revealing the face of the doe-eye girl. Her eyes were red and seem slightly swollen.
“Are you crying..?” Sooyoung asked the obvious.
“... No..” Yoona quickly wipes the remaining tears on her face away and walked back into the room, sitting on the bed.
“Yuri didn’t..” Sooyoung followed her in and sat down beside her.
“If you are going to help her.. Please get out..”
“Yoong”
“Please, Youngie...”
“Okay.. I won’t talk about it... But why are you behaving like this?”
There was silence. Once again, tears start to fall from Yoona’s eyes. To Sooyoung’s surprise, Yoona leans over and hugged her as she continues to cry.
“I.. I’m scared... I.. I can’t afford to lose anyone dear to me anymore...”
“... You are scared of losing her..?”
“I already lose the mother that I loved so much..”
“You won’t... She will be with you, always..”
“I don’t know what I can do if I lose her... I can’t imagine how’s life like without her...”
“Hush... She just doesn’t want you to get hurt..”
“But she doesn’t care about herself! She’s just too protective of me that she neglected her own safety! With her condition just now, if she goes on like that, I might really lose her! I don’t want that to happen! But she just don’t get it!” Yoona shouted while she pulls away from Sooyoung. Tears flow even more. Seeing Yoona like this makes her heart hurts. She pulls Yoona back into her embrace and patted her on her head. Without realising it herself, she plants a kiss on Yoona’s head.
“I know.. Hush... I know you care about her too... Hush...” Sooyoung hugged the girl tightly, not wanting to let go.
“Youngie....” Yoona did the same.
“Okay... hush... She’s alright, isn’t she? She’s alright now. Because you stopped her. You helped her. You saved her.. So she’s alright now... So stop crying, okay?”
“... Okay...” Yoona moves away from Sooyoung, forcing a smile.
Sooyoung cupped Yoona’s face with her own hands and use her thumbs to wipe the tears away. “She’s hurt by your words.. Why not we go down together and you go and apologize?” She stood up and reach her hand out towards Yoona, wanting her to hold it. Yoona nodded slightly and held Sooyoung’s hand. The two of them got out of the room and went downstairs, hand in hand.
“Don’t worry Yuri. She’s just worried.” Taeyeon leaned forward and patted Yuri on her back. Footsteps could be heard. The two girls appeared from the stairs, hand in hand. Taeyeon smiled at Sunny after seeing that but Sunny pointed to the tanned girl instantly. ”Oh? See? They are here...” Taeyeon added.
Yuri looked up immediately. She did not notice that they are holding hands. She only sees Yoona, with her eyes redden and slightly swollen. Seeing her beloved sister like that, she feels a sharp pain in her chest.
“Go on... Say what you want to say..” Sooyoung pulls the doe-eye girl to the front and gave her a small push on the back. Yoona stood in front of Yuri, looking into her eyes.
“... Yul...” Yoona called out softly.
“Yoong... I..” Yuri wanted to apologise to Yoona for making her worry and making her cry. But before she could say anything, Yoona jumped at her and hugged her tightly. “Yul~ I’m sorry... I didn’t mean those words that I said just now.. I’m sorry, Yul..”
“Oww! Ouch... That hurts, Yoong...” Yuri groaned when Yoona accidentally pressed against her wounds.
“Ohh.. I.. I’m sorry..” Yoona let go of Yuri immediately. Yuri smiled. She felt relieved.
“Come here... Let me hug you again..” Yuri said, with her arms stretched outwards. Yoona cuddled up to her instantly and carefully, not wanting to apply pressure to the wounds. The rest looked at the twin hugging each other with a smile and left quietly. Seohyun, after seeing the three girls out, came back into the living room and continue to stare at her sisters for a while before going back to her room, leaving the two to continue hugging. That night, after Yuri is asleep, Yoona took out her phone again to text Sooyoung.
To: Youngie
Youngie? Are you asleep yet?
From: Youngie
No. Why are you messaging me? Go talk with Yuri.
To: Youngie
She’s sleeping already.

The doe-eye girl continues to run at full speed. Tears are flowing uncontrollably. It was as though the tears had never come out before and are now all coming out at once. She stopped at a playground nearby and sat at the end of the slide, before burying her face in her hands and letting all the tears flow freely.“Unnie..”

The three girls entered the dark and lonely house. It was obvious that no one is home yet. Seeing this, Yuri got worked up again. She tried to move on her own but failed. Currently, without help, her legs are useless. Taeyeon tries to calm her down and let her sit down on the armchair in the living room. She took out a first aid kit from the cabinet nearby and return to Yuri’s side again. “Relax.. They will be fine. Please stay still while I treat your injuries...
