Double update! Wheeeee~ So incase anyone missed, the previous chapter is the first update.

A beautiful fully bloomed red rose was placed inside a coffee cup on top of the café’s counter. A note written in scrawny cursive handwriting was placed underneath its coaster.

It was fifteen minutes passed eight when Baekhyun and Kyungsoo arrived at the café, having no scheduled morning classes that day. Baekhyun was the first to spot the simple romantic setting. He approached and upon reading the note a huge knowing grin appeared on his face.

“KYUNGSOOOOO!!!”

Kyungsoo appears from the backroom wearing the café’s uniformed apron while trying to tie it behind him. “Don’t scream so early in the morning!!”

“BUT KYUNG!! LOOK! ISN’T JONGIN SO SWEET!” He receives a harsh thwack on his head and a frantic Kyungsoo looking around forgetting that the café was empty as the sign was still flipped ‘closed’.

“Don’t shout his name you annoying screeching person!!”

Immediately upon realizing, he covers his mouth with a hand and a sorry look on his face—not really sorry.

“Sorry!” He scream whispers. “I was excited because Nini is so sweet!!”

Kyungsoo felt his blush about to appear but was distracted by the nickname. “Why Nini again?”

“’Cause if we want to be able to talk about them.. we need codenames.” Baekhyun smiles like a little kid given a new toy.

The two boys found the gesture overly cheesy but extremely sweet and romantic, Kyungsoo proceeding to snap pictures of it in his delight. Baekhyun was feeling giddy, happy at his friend’s blooming love life.

“So have you given him your sweet yes?”

“Shut up Baek.”

“Oh c’mon~ I wanna knoooow~”

“No I haven’t.”

“But whaaaaaai~? You like him, he clearly likes you too.”

“Yes but, he’s a member of Team des élites Beaux.”

“What about him being a member of Team dez eleet Buu.”

“Just say Team E.B. will you. I don’t know if you’ve forgotten but one of the main reasons why they’re labelled such is because they’re one of the few groups that consists the rich of the rich. I don’t think I’ll pass judgment.”

“You have more chance than I do.” Baekhyun mutters quietly.

“What did you say?”

“I said, you have higher chances of approval from his family than other people who obviously only aims for his money… Besides, his family seems to be very welcoming and supportive of their son.”

“Okay, but if I were to be in a relationship with him it’d either be in secret or out in the open with no in between. I want my privacy thank you.”

“Oh. Doesn’t a secret relationship sound exciting to you!?” Another thwack on the head by Kyungsoo.

He found it cute and adorable, but he also couldn’t help but feel envious. Watching the blooming relationship between the two was heartwarming for him, it was like watching puppy love between two teenagers when they’re both in their twenties already.

But it also reminded him of status—Jongin was the youngest son of a family with parents owning an advertising agency in demand by different high profile products of both local and international. Kyungsoo was the son of a local renowned chef and an owner of a line of restaurants, mother a highly acclaimed event planner of big local names. And Baekhyun was—

Baekhyun was nothing.
