A comfortable silence settled between them. Kibum shifted a bit, moving his head closer to Jinki's knees as he peered, almost unseeing at the underside of his friend's jaw. They had been sitting like this in the quiet of the living for quite some time when Kibum suddenly became aware of eyes on him. Focusing he saw that Jinki had all but thrown his literature book aside to hunch over his face.

"Are you okay?"

Kibum blinked. "I'm fine."

"Then why are you grumbling like some twitchy animal?"

"Like--," Kibum made a confused face, feeling abruptly and unaccountably nervous. "Where do you come up with these weird analogies?"

"Since you started looking at me like," Jinki made a vague motion over his head, reaching for the word. He seemed to give up with a sigh and frowned down at Kibum. "I don't know."

The blond's expression flickered through some emotion before seeming to clear up, obviously throwing Jinki off course. Especially with the easy chuckle and almost too-bright smile. "Just sort of in awe about how long you managed to put up with my . Honestly I wouldn't know what to do if someone were to take you away from me."

Jinki was silent for a moment, his face closed off. Then he snorted and sat back to read. "They'd have to use a giant crowbar and the strength of a small army to get you off my ."

Kibum's weight shuddered with suppressed laughter. "It'd take a lot more than that." 

In hindsight, Kibum would probably kick himself quite hard for the near show of fangs at the tail end of that statement.

The title is a play on the word 'besotted' which means hopelessly in love. My first fic of 2015. Hopefully I can make this work,ahaha. This is an onkey fan fiction and it's the second one of its kind that i've written. The other one is much more casual than this one, at least.
