Description

Woohyun was a teenage boy from North Korea. Having just turned 18, it was mandatory to attend military training for 2 years. He applies for military camp and is met with a group of boys who forces him to join their group in a plan to escape North Korea—they were called the Elude.

Foreword

Woohyun glances at the door, putting up a hand at the guard by it and gestures for the guard to give him a couple more minutes. He turns back to his grandma, who was holding back her tears as she was washing up the plates where they had just eaten the chocolate cake she bought last night. 

"You're gonna be alright?"

His grandma turns back with a forced smile. "Yes, Woohyun. Hurry up now." 

"Please be safe and healthy, ok?" Woohyun approaches her and rubs circles around her curved back. "I'll be back in two years…" 

With that, his grandma breaks into a few silent sobs. Woohyun, too, was teary, but he held it back for his grandmother's sake. "Take good care of yourself." 

Nodding, his grandmother pulls away and waves goodbye. Woohyun does the same, stepping outside of the house with a guard and a rod on his back, guiding him outside. 

"Oh, and Woohyun?" 

"Yeah?" 

"Happy birthday."

Chapter 20: Am sad actually but we can't force something that's inevitable. I appreciate you leaving this story like this than trying to write an update that is not to your liking. Hope you continue to write more WooGyu stories though. But i hope someday when you find the inspiration please continue even if it will take years. Your stories are worth the wait. Goodluck. Kudos. Chapter 20: Its okay author nim. Everyone have their own problems and ultimately you are the one who should take a decision. It's sad that this story didn't went as planned, but it's okay.
