This should really be chapter one but, i don't really have anything to say about this Foreword. Teehee.

 

(Five Years Ago)

Lurking outside the Woolim Entertainment Building is Kei. She received a confirmation letter that she passed the audition to be a Woolim trainee but she just didn’t know what to do. Would she just head straight the entrance and inquire inside? That’s easier said than done, for her at least. She’s too shy and unconfident that she had that talent to be able to reach this far. Since she’s here already, why won’t she just go in?

She’s wearing a cute middle school uniform that shows her flawless pale legs. Holding her bag pack’s shoulder strap tightly and with big glasses, she tried to search for a chance to enter without suspicions. She’s worried that people might think of her as an outsider but by the way she’s acting right now, I bet you might think of her as an obsessed fan trying to stalk Infinite.

While she was hiding behind a bush, Infinite members are having their break in the second floor of the café just across the Woolim Entertainment Building. Dong Woo and Hoya were busy playing a game of counting people that passes the corner, until they noticed our suspicious looking Kei.

“Sunggyu, who is that? She seemed to have the same school uniform with you. She looks like a middle school student.” Hoya said.

“Hmm?,” Sunggyu turned around to look out the window, and yes, he confirmed Kei is from his school. However, he had no idea who she is. He doesn’t care though. “I don’t know” He replied with straight face, totally not caring.

Sunggyu, to tell you the truth, is hiding something about his middle school. This is why he tried so hard to avoid Kei as much as possible.

But destiny must have really done something to make their path cross together.

It was just two months since Kei started being as a trainee and Infinite has always coincidentally see her either in the practice room at night or in the corner of the café alone.

Hoya was attracted by Kei. Those lovely eyes really captured him. Since Sunggyu came from her province, perhaps he can help Hoya bridge them, right?

“Hyung, you know how to speak her dialect right?”

Sunggyu was shocked by Hoya’s inquiry. Actually, both of them are staring at one girl and that’s Kei. Sunggyu was reconsidering about avoiding her because she doesn’t look like the type who would reveal a bad past about him. And he thinks Kei is kinda pitiful because most girl trainees hate her for having such beautiful voice and that the president really favors her. Her efforts to have friends and to train hard caught Sunggyu’s heart.

“Who?” Though Sunggyu knows who Hoya is thinking about, he feigned ignorance.

“Kei.”

“K-Kei, who?”

“Oh come on! You were staring at her too.”

“Oh, her?” That was kinda wrong, Sunggyu thought. “”What? I was not staring at her!”

“Stop denying. Do you like her?” Hoya is trying to carefully judge the situation. If Sunggyu does like her, then he would back off.

However, Sunggyu’s answer was NO, he did not like Kei. Liar.

In the end, he agreed to help Hoya. But only once, Sunggyu strictly said.

During the training session, Sunggyu came to get Kei. Kei, without a word, followed him. This situation just made other girls hate her more. She’s the president’s favourite and now she gets Sunggyu? That’s just unfair.

Kei was, deep inside, shocked that after two months of avoiding her, Sunggyu finally talked to her. She was about to open to talk but Sunggyu stopped her and went direct to the point quick.

“I want you to keep your mouth shut.” Sunggyu said strictly.

“Eh??” Kei was really really confused now. Unknown to Sunggyu, Kei just recently transferred from US to his province and that she had no single idea what Sunggyu was hiding.

“I don’t want you talking about me to anyone in this building.” Sunggyu’s face was so strict and scary. He really has wrong thoughts about Kei.

She was about to tell him that she doesn’t know what he is talking about but, again Sunggyu stopped her.

“Hoya wants to meet with you tonight at 7pm at the café. Be there.”

What? It may be unreasonable but, Kei was truly hurt by how Sunggyu treated her. It was enough that people are avoiding her but to really show how hateful she can be, that’s really too much. She has done nothing to be hated.

A few months later, Hoya got bored with Kei’s boring nature. She’s not entirely boring but it’s just that Hoya realized that she’s not his type.

He stopped seeing her. They became friends, in facebook only. Hoya was not sincere and Kei knew that long ago. That’s why she didn’t care if Hoya stopped bugging her. She always has her eyes on Sunggyu. Although there’s already that feeling, she tried to suppress it. She believed it was just admiration of Sunggyu’s talent.
