"Mom, Krystal's writing a letter to Santa Claus," the eleven-year-old whined and tailed her mother around the kitchen as breakfast was being prepared. 

"And what's wrong about that dear?" 

"Santa Claus is fake! There's no person like Santa," Jessica lamented, and the seven-year-old sulked as she heard that. 

"Santa Claus is real," Krystal reasoned. 

"Santa Claus is not real!" Jessica started to raise her voice. 

"Jessi, no shouting at your sister-"

"He's real!" Krystal also started to shout. 

"Not real!" Jessica retorted, her tone growing harsh. 

"Real!" Krystal exclaimed, before finally bursting into tears.
