Chapter 58

Feeling Like A Chicken Without A Head

It had possibly been the worst night of your entire life. You had hardly slept, and when the sun was out, you laid in bed awake.

Last night had been odd, way too odd, had left you feeling completely torn and confused about your own feelings.

“Kiss me.”

“I want to kiss you. I want you to ki-”

You grabbed onto your pillow, covered your face with it, muffling your groans into the pillow as his words repeated in your mind. Then you pulled the pillow away and began to punch it with your fists.

“Damn him, what had that been about, kissing me and then just walking out without an explanation.” You punched the pillow.

You imagined that the pillow was him as you gave it punches after punches until you felt tired out and collapsed onto the mattress. You wriggled your body, groaning.

“I’ll kill him when I see him, that’s it, he’s done.” You slipped out of bed.

Checked your face in the mirror for dirt under your eyes and walked out of the room. You rushed to the bathroom and took a shower.

Once you were done washing up, and brushing your teeth, you slipped your bathrobe on and wiped your body. You opened the door and stepped into the hall.

“Good morning.”

You froze, stared out at the white wall, ignoring him. His voice was low, husky and he sounded tired, but not drunk.

“I’ll help Ki Joon wash up.” He said.

You kept your gaze out, but then your eyes fell upon the wooden floor and you saw the droplets of water from your hair that dripped onto the floor.

You had a towel in your hand for your hair and you quickly began to wrap your wet hair in the towel before the floor got wet and slippery.

“Kwon?” He called out, but you ignored him.

He’s so done.

“I’m going to get dressed, so you can’t come into the room.” You said nonchalantly, walked over to the bedroom, opened the door, and slammed it after you got in.

Once you were inside the room, you let out a deep sigh and closed your eyes.

“Who does he think he is, he can just kiss me when he is drunk and then act like nothing?” You hissed.

You kissed him too, you wanted to kiss him too, you are just as guilty as him, oh shut it!

Suddenly, it knocked on the door and you jumped startled away from the door. Somehow, your heart began to beat harder.

“Kwon?” He called out from the other side in the hall.

You stared at the white wooden door.

What if he does remember last night?

What should I do if he remembers it all?

What am I going to do of myself now!

“Yes?” You replied.

“There’s some soup in the fridge. Is it new? Can I heat it up and have some? I am hungover.” He said. He spoke in a hoarse and rather dry tone.

He doesn’t remember.

He doesn’t remember the kiss

“Its new.” You told.

Your eyes wandered to the nightstand, where you had placed the silver platter last night. If it was still there, then he hadn’t eaten his soup.

The silver platter still laid there with the soup and pills. You sighed deeply and leaned back against the door.

He doesn’t remember.

“Ki Joon is awake, I’ll help him get dressed.” He told.

You backed away from the door, flung open the door and faced Yongguk. He stood right in front of you, towering you.

Suddenly, you felt your heart jump inside your chest, not expecting to see him standing so closely in front of your door, standing so close to him.

Or maybe, you weren’t prepared to face him, after what had happened. You figured the latter part was the issue. However, you had to face him no matter what.

His deep dark eyes drifted down to yours and he clenched his jaw, when your eyes met. Your eyes bored in his. Your body stiffened, becoming hard like stone, unmovable.

“You’ve not dressed.” He said in a low tone.

“I’ll help Ki Joon get dressed, you should probably cure your hangover.” You told, ignoring his previous words.

“It’s alright, its just a hangover.” He said nonchalantly and his brows knitted in a deep frown.

You stared into his eyes with a deadpanned look. He bit onto his bottom lip, breathed deeply, and clenched his jaw firmly. You tipped your head to the side, staring into his eyes, but he remained silent.

He really doesn’t remember it! That toad!

Another moment of silence passed by and you narrowed your eyes, staring deeper into his eyes. His deep brown eyes remained locked with yours.

You kept staring at him, wondering about whether he really forget about what had happened between you, or maybe he did remember it, but regretted it, and was now ignoring it or pretending? You had no clue.

You stiffened, your hard looks disappeared but you tried to look unfazed, as you had to pretend like nothing had happened.

You had to tell yourself that nothing had happened between the pair of you in the night. If he didn’t speak of it, it hadn’t happened, right?

Silence went by.

A long silence, where you just stared into one another’s eyes without speaking, only sharing a long silent look, no words, nothing.

If this went on for any longer, you wouldn’t know what do to of yourself, and you felt a sudden twinge inside your chest.

You closed your fists to your sides, keeping your arms glued to your sides, preventing yourself from pressing a palm to your chest, where you felt that deep ache again. It was an unknown feeling, an unknown pain.

“Alright, woman, just get dressed.” He said.

His eyes quickly danced down your body. He looked away, cleared his throat loudly. He took a step back, and your eyes locked once again but for a brief moment.

He turned around and headed down the hall, towards the bathroom. You watched the door close and he disappeared out of your sight.

Standing still at the door to your room, you blinked your eyes, fluttered your lashes a couple of times, and finally heaved after air. You moved your hand up and laid it on your chest.

King of walking out. King of forgetting things. King of all slow toads.

You walked back inside your room, shut the door, turned the lock, and went to your bed (Yongguk’s bed) and laid down on the soft mattress.

You closed your eyes, but all you could see were the images of the night in your mind like a vivid picture, it kept flashing through. You opened your eyes, hissed, and grabbed the nearby pillow.

Last night, in the moment, you had felt something new and special, something unknown between you, some connection, some mutual feelings.

But as soon as it was over, and when he left, when he walked out of the room, away from you, he took that joy and those feelings with him, leaving you feeling alone, empty and confused, so confused. You had never felt so confused before.

You let out a bundle of curses. Another row of punching the pillow began to let out your bottled-up frustrations.

You had to meet Soomin and discuss this matter. She was more experienced in ‘such’ matters.  Well, she had more experience in the topic ‘love’ and ‘relationships’, not that you and Yongguk are in such categories.

Yet.

Yet

Yet????

Oh, shut it!

You had to get a grip of yourself. You shouldn’t delve too much on what had happened right? The other person was very calm and like himself, whereas you felt like a chicken without a head.

You got up from bed after having laid down for a bit. You needed to get to Ki Joon. You left the room, when you had changed into your outfit.

The door to Ki Joon’s room was open. You stopped at the doorframe and peeked in. A little smile spread on your face, when you found him on the floor, playing with Tigger.

The dog nuzzled against him, and he was laughing as he showered Tigger with love and affection. You knocked on the door to make your presence aware, and he instantly looked up.

“Good morning.” He chimed.

“Good morning, sweetheart, did you sleep well?” You asked, and he nodded.

“Thank you, and you? Did you sleep well?” He asked with a smile as Tigger was jumping on his lap, trying to snatch the boy’s attention from you.

If Tigger could speak, it would probably say ‘Hey, look back at me, you were playing with me, give me your attention, you cute boy’.

Tigger barfed and Ki Joon’s cheek. The little boy made a half- laugh and groan in semi- disgust and laughter.

“You need a shower.” You said, and he nodded as he wiped his cheek with a laugh.

Tigger stopped jumping, looking at the boy with its innocent cute puppy eyes. Ki Joon giggled and Tigger’s soft fur, making the dog barf pleased.

“I’m not mad, Tigger. You can my cheek again. It’s just eh- disgusting. I’m sorry.” Ki Joon said, and the dog just jumped around on his lap. But Ki Joon seemed to be pondering.

“Does that mean, Tigger is not sad?” Ki Joon asked with a puzzled look, when he turned his eyes from the dog and to you.

“Oh-sweetheart, Tigger is not mad at you, Tigger loves you.” You said, and he turned his eyes back to the dog that was jumping happily on his lap.

“You are not mad at me?” Ki Joon asked and hugged Tigger into him. The dog barfed aloud, making Ki Joon laugh.

“It’s Saturday, do you want to go to an amusement park with my friends?” You asked and Ki Joon nodded quickly, making you smile.

“Will uncle Taecyeon and auntie Soomin come?” He asked.

“Yes, sweetheart.” You smiled.

“Yes!” He got up and jumped excitedly. You laughed at his childlike antics.

~❋~

The dinning table was set with the help from your best helper- Ki Joon. The little boy had already seated at the table. It always made you smile to see how diligent and obedient he is.

The chair which he sat on was a bit high for him, so his small feet dangled, and he moved his feet back and forth, humming as the two of you waited for Yongguk to arrive. You set the final food on the table.

Saturday’s breakfast was pancake, because Ki Joon wants pancakes for weekends, jam, honey, omelet, toast, cut out fruits and yoghurt. There was free choice.

You poured coffee in your cup from the coffee machine, and just when you turned around with your cup in hand, Yongguk appeared.

He walked into the room. His bangs were soaked, his hair fell over his eyes, almost covering his sight. He seemed unbothered by his wet hair.

You tightened your grip on your cup when you felt a sudden urge to want to run your fingers through his wet hair. Your fingertips itched.

He wore a black t-shirt and blue jeans that were ripped almost all the way down, from the thighs and to the knees, and the holes were big.

He had a silver chain on his jeans. Without looking your way, he headed to his seat, where he usually sat.

“You should have waited for me to help.” Yongguk said.

You opened your mouth to speak.

“It’s okay.” Ki Joon broke out.

You closed your mouth. You had something else planned to say.

Why did you get drunk? Why did you come home drunk? Now you have a hangover, which you must treat. Why did you kiss me? Why did you ask me to kiss you? And what was that guilt part about? What is all of this? Its driving me insane.

But Ki Joon seemed to have outsmarted you on this one. You kept your mouth closed. It was for the better.

You counted to five in your mind and walked to the table. Without looking at Yongguk, you seated next to Ki Joon, where you usually sit. You reached your hand out with a fork, you put some omelet on your plate.

As time went by with silence, you finally glanced out towards Yongguk. His eyes were lowered, he ate his food silently and slowly.

“I’m going out and I’m taking Ki Joon with me.” You said.

“Where are you going?” He asked. His eyes were lowered.

“To meet my friends.” You said.

“But where?” He asked.

“To amusement park!” Ki Joon exclaimed happily, and you looked at the boy.

“What time will you go and when will you be back?” He asked.

“I don’t know that either.” You replied, looking at back him.

His eyes drifted out to yours, locking you in a hold with his piercing gaze, making it somehow hard for you to even move a finger.

He lowered his gaze without a word, he began to eat his food, and you blinked your eyes. Wasn’t he going to say anything else? It seemed like he was.

“Don’t be out for too long.” He said.

He finally spoke.

“Take care of yourselves.” He added.

“I’ll take care of Ki Joon, and my friends will too.” You told.

“I meant you too, don’t get home late either.” He said.

“We won’t come home late.” You said, and he nodded.

He had just told you to take care of yourself? You looked down, pursed your lips, and sighed deeply. why did he say that? You wondered.

When the dinner finished, you cleaned up, and went to your room to changed out of your casual clothing.

You picked a simple fitted black dress, a green loose blazer with black and white stripes on to wear over your dress, because it was a bit chilly in the shadow. You put your white sneakers on.

For the hairstyle, you kept it loose and pushed it back. You let out a huff and fixed your makeup one final time.

Your eyeliner was somehow taking a lot of time to apply today. It was one of those days, you groaned, but managed to make that sharp look. You let out a satisfied sigh, when your eyeliner was done.

Once you were done, you went to help Ki Joon, but the little one had already gotten dressed- in a pair of blue jeans, black blouse with an image of the green man- hulk.

“I’m ready!” He chimed, the moment you stepped into the room, and you laughed.

“You look cool.” You beamed with a smile, and he let out a shy and quiet laugh. “It’s a cool shirt.” You told, and he thanked you with a smile, making your grin grow wider.

“C’mon, let’s go.” You said with an arm outstretched.

He rushed towards you, took a hold of your hand, and hurried down the stairs, making you laugh at his excitement. He led the way.

When you made it to the floor, your eyes somehow flickered around in search for him, but he was nowhere to be seen. You pursed your lips.

Isn’t he going to say goodbye to us?

“You are leaving now?”

Just when you were thinking of him, he walked out of his studio, and your eyes flickered to his that somehow bored in yours deeply, making you tense up unexpectedly.

That effect he had on you at times, scared you. The meaning of it scared you even more and you froze.

His hair was finally dry but messy, and tangled, but it looked good. He wore a loose t-shirt and just plain jeans, he looked great. You blinked your eyes, realizing that you hadn’t said a word.

“Yes, we are going now.” You replied, and he simply nodded.

There was a moment of silence as you looked into his eyes, wondering again, whether he really had forgotten it all. How could he forget it? You tensed, feeling yourself getting aggravated for some reason.

You frowned, when you saw his eyes drift to the ground, he stood still, unmovable. His eyes remained fixed on the blank ground for a while and you felt a sudden twinge again.

Suddenly, Ki Joon walked over to Yongguk. He reached his small hand out and tugged at Yongguk’s t-shirt, drawing the older male’s attention towards him.

“What is it my boy?” Yongguk asked.

“What will you be doing?” Ki Joon asked with his big and round eyes full of curiosity. Your eyes drifted between the father and son.

“I don’t know, I’ll be home.” Yongguk said with a little smile.

You remained frozen to your spot, feeling that twinge inside you grow bigger. He’d be alone home. Why didn’t he go out with his friends? What would he be doing at home all alone?

“Alone? Will you be alone home?” Ki Joon asked.

Your eyes drifted down to the kid. You noticed how the little boy moved his hand further up towards Yongguk’s hand.

The little boy grasped Yongguk’s hand. Yongguk’s hand enveloped around Ki Joon’s small hand, and he nodded.

“No, come with us, I don’t want you to be alone.” Ki Joon said firmly and wriggled Yongguk’s hand, urging the older male to walk.

That was it, you felt your heart sink. Ki Joon’s warm gestures made your heart swell up inside your chest.

You don’t want to leave him alone either, even though he walked out on you… Shhh. Stop thinking those things.

You looked the other way quickly, but your eyes drifted back to Yongguk, who was looking at you, and you blinked your eyes, feeling utterly confused as to what was happening.

Ki Joon hadn’t acted this way before, never really held onto Yongguk and refused to let go of him. You couldn’t hurt Ki Joon’s feelings like this. It was his first time showing such an act.

Yongguk stood still, staring into your eyes so deeply and intensely, he could make you turn into a lifeless chicken without a head any second.

Was he looking for confirmation through your eyes? You blinked your eyes. But he kept on looking, not speaking.

He was waiting for confirmation from you. That somehow made you feel upset. He was welcomed. You didn’t want anyone to feel unwanted.

It wasn’t because you tried to exclude him. Now, you felt so horrible. You should have invited him to begin with.

You are such an idiot!

“You.. you should come along with us.” You finally said in a small voice, sounding unlike yourself.

“I wasn’t going to ask.” He said firmly and your eyes widened, jaw dropped, and you became speechless.

No, you actually became a lifeless-headless chicken now. You gritted your teeth. It was too late to take that invitation back.

He had just looked like one that didn’t want to go before getting invited. This man, you didn’t understand him, sometimes.

He turned around, got inside his studio and you furrowed your brows, wondering about what he was doing. But the door to his studio was open and you could see what he was doing.

Your eyes widened and you felt your cheeks prickle, slowly heating up and flushing. He pulled his loose black t-shirt over his head, tossed it on his couch and grabbed a white blouse from his chair.

Your eyes transfixed on his lean back and you watched his shoulder blades move at his movements. He began to button his shirt and you stared at his back. You looked away before he turned around. He stepped out of his little studio and met your gaze.

“I’ll drive.” He said.

“No, I will.” You said and turned around, heading out.

You could hear that he followed you, and the sounds of a happy little boy laughing, because his daddy was coming along.

How would you possibly be talking about Yongguk to Soomin in the presence of Yongguk now? You sighed as you walked towards your car.

You were in desperate need of talking and ranting with your best friend, and the person whom you wanted to rant about was coming along.

“Are you sure that I shouldn’t drive?” He asked, when you unlocked your car.

You threw him a hard glare that made him tense up for a second, but that coy smirk of his appeared on his handsome face. He let out a chuckle and you rolled your eyes.

“Are you scared?” You asked.

“Depends on how you drive?” He said as he helped Ki Joon get into the back seat, and you kept in your gasp at his comment. He wasn’t serious? He had never seen you drive before.

“I’ve been told that I am a very careful driver.” You stated with a confident tone, raised your chin, meeting his sharp and piercing dark eyes.

However, Yongguk solely gazed into your eyes for a moment. You looked at him with an unfazed and determined look.

“Yeah, we’ll see about that.” He said as he strode around the car.

His eyes remained locked with yours as he headed to the passenger seat. He opened the door, got in, and only then did he break off your gaze.

You tried to look untouched by his words, but you pursed your lips and grimaced. You were a decent driver. You stood still, stared out at the clear blue sky and white clouds.

Sometimes, you could just grab him, shake him up, strangle him, kiss him, kiss him very hard, and strangle him again, but kiss him.

You gripped your head at the thoughts you were having and shook your head. Suddenly, the car honked, making you snap out of your reverie.

The sound came unexpected, and it was so loud that it made you jump of startlement. You lowered your head, gazed through your window and directly at him with a burning intense stare, but he remained cool as ice.

“Get in, woman.” Yongguk called out,

“I’m coming.” You fired back and got into the driver’s seat.

You seated in your familiar car seat, but things felt different today, because someone certain was watching your every move.

You took in a deep breath and exhaled. You started the ignition and the car woke up from its little slumber.

However, of all times, it chose to make that sound like an old man with bad smoking lunges, heaving for air, and your eyes shot towards Yongguk instinctively.

He stared at you with a frown, question filled eyes, and you shook your head at him firmly, knowing just what he was thinking this time, it was so evident.

“Don’t even.” You warned.

“You sure, I shouldn’t take my car?” He asked with a raised brow, and your eyes narrowed threateningly.

“Alright.” He said.

You re-started the car and it worked perfectly fine. You didn’t utter a word as you sped off to the road.

“Where are we going exactly?” Yongguk asked after a moment of silence.

“We are going to an amusement park.” You said, and he looked into your eyes, but didn’t say anything.

For a while, you played it cool, but from time to time, you were certain that you could feel a pair of sea dark and deep eyes linger at you.

You narrowed your eyes, keeping your focus on the road, the signals, the passerby’s, and everything else, not just his gaze.

Until, you couldn’t take it any longer. Your head shot towards him, when the car halted at a red signal.

“What? I am driving carefully.” You said aloud in an exhale.

“Indeed, very careful and very slowly.” He said.

“Ya, you!” You stiffened,

You scrunched your face, and pursed your lips in annoyance, but a lopsided grin formed on his face. He was enjoying this. He was messing with you again.

“What did you say to me?” He asked with a grin and you frowned, feeling puzzled.

“Ya?” You repeated angrily and his smile grew wider. Your eyes widened. “Ya!” You shouted this time.

Clearly, he wasn’t taking you seriously, and you hated it, when people didn’t take you seriously. He continued to smile.

You hissed, reached your hand out to smack him on the back of his head, but much to your dismay, he acted quickly, grasped your wrist, and your breath hitched in your throat, when he laced his fingers with yours. It made you close your mouth.

“Relax, sweetheart, I’m just messing with you. Your driving isn’t bad.” He said.

Almost in an instant, your breathing switched from irregular to regular. A warmth was spreading throughout your body, starting from your palm, and the heat transmitted from his palm and to you. His hand was warm, and it felt quite soft.

It made you feel uncanny, thinking of how he had this effect on you. Just a moment ago, you were annoyed at him for teasing you, and then he acted all sweet.

Then you remembered how much it , when he had left you in the night, how badly it made you feel.

All the unanswered questions returned to your mind, hitting you like sharp needles and the twinge inside you reappeared. You pulled your hand back from him and looked the other way.

Thankfully, the signal turned green. You stepped on the speeder and the car sped off. You remained silent for the rest of the ride.

Ki Joon was the only one speaking. He spoke to himself as he played with his new Marvel figurines- Antman and the Wasp, which he got from your best friends recently.

Yongguk remained silent too, not that he had anything to say, probably. This silence, his silence, you were getting used to it.

~❋~

The car came to a halt at the park. You turned to look at Ki Joon in the back seat and his eyes drifted out. His eyes beamed of excitement.

“Are we here?” He asked, and you nodded.

“Uncle Taecyeon and aunt Soomin should be here by now.” You said, and the little boy let out a squeal.

He fumbled with his seatbelt eagerly but couldn’t seem to get it off. Yongguk opened the door to his side and got out of your car.

Yongguk quickly went to help the boy. He unfastened Ki Joon’s seatbelt and the kid jumped out the car.

“Are you excited?” Yongguk asked him and the boy nodded with a bright smile and then he rushed towards you, when you stepped out.

He grabbed your hand and you led the way to your friends. Yongguk followed suit quietly. You looked out and bit onto your bottom lip.

You wondered again about how you could get to have a private talk with Soomin in the presence of these two men- Yongguk and Taecyeon.

“Sera, over here!”

Your eyes followed the direction where the voice came from, and you saw your friend waving her hands in air at you.

A smile was formed on her face, which quickly disappeared like dust in the wind, and a look of surprise replaced her vibrant smile.

Her jaw dropped, her eyes widened like a deer in headlights, and you knew whom she was staring at now.

You hadn’t had the opportunity to tell your friends that Yongguk was coming along. You were busy with getting out of the house. Soomin seemed taken back.

You hadn’t seen her this surprised, not since she saw Yongnam. However, this time, she looked more puzzled. You frowned at her, when you stopped in front of her.

Taecyeon showed up from a corner with ice popsicles in his hands, and his eyes drifted from you to Ki Joon with a smile, and then to Yongguk. Suddenly, he too seemed serious.

“I hope you don’t mind that I only got four ice creams, didn’t know you’d join us.” Taecyeon said with a little smile, and Yongguk shrugged.

“It’s been a while.” Yongguk said in his deep monotone voice and they shook hands.

Then Yongguk turned to look at Soomin, who eyed him with a little smile. She fluttered her long lashes, smiling sweetly somehow.

“Hi, I’m Soomin. We’ve not met yet.” She said as she reached her hand out to Yongguk, and he nodded.

“It’s nice to finally meet you.” Yongguk said.

He reached his hand to hers, grasped her hand and gave it a squeeze, and she nodded with a beaming smile whilst looking at him. She stared into his eyes for a moment.

You stared back and forth between the two. You knew that look on Soomin’s face. You squinted your eyes at her.

Staring at her intensely, waiting for her to notice you, but her eyes were stuck on Yongguk. When she finally pulled back, she gave you a quick look, and you knew what it meant.

“Girl, he is handsome! He is just as handsome as his twin brother!” Was what she probably wanted to say with her eyes, when she gave you a quick and discreet look.

You looked the other way before the both of you looked too odd to the others around you, and it would become obvious.

You cleared your throat, and brushed your hair to the side, feeling the cool breeze sway its way up your back.

“Let’s bring Ki Joon to the park, he probably can’t wait to try the rides.” You told, and your friends nodded.

As you began to walk, you tipped your head to the side and stole a glance towards Yongguk. He was walking with Ki Joon hand in hand.

“Hey.” Soomin whispered, grabbed onto your arm, and dragged you along further away from the others.

“Why didn’t you say that he was coming along?” Soomin asked.

“It just happened.” You told, and she narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

“Has something happened.” She told, and your eyes widened for a second.

Soomin knew you too well. Well enough to read your every expression better than anyone, better than yourself.

“We can’t really talk about it here.” You said in a small voice, and she looked at you with a look of confusion.

“But why?” She asked and you breathed deeply. “Oh, I know, something happened between you.” She gasped, and you tugged her arm, warning her, and she lowered her voice.

“We’ll talk in private, when we get the chance to.” You told and she gave your arm a gentle squeeze.

“Here’s your ice creams.” Taecyeon broke out, when he got in between the two of you. You grabbed a strawberry flavored popsicle and began to take the wrapping off.

“Let me.” Taecyeon said as he reached his hand out quickly, snatched your popsicle and began to unwrap the wrapping for you, and you gazed up at him. “There.” He said once he was done.

You took the popsicle from him and looked to your side. The little boy had his popsicle in hand, smiling as he it, and Yongguk walked quietly next to him.

“Thanks.” You said before you put the popsicle into your mouth. The sweet taste lingered on your tongue.

When you reached the amusement park, Ki Joon got thrilled and hyper. He jumped on his feet, when he saw the biggest roller coaster ride and squealed upon hearing the screams from people, who went down the ride.

“That looks scary.” Ki Joon said with a frightened look. His eyes widened as he looked at the ride go down fast.

“We are not going to try such rides, sweetheart.” You assured.

He looked up at you with a look of ease, but he walked over to your side and grabbed your arm for security. You stopped in your tracks and pulled him close to you.

“You don’t have to be scared, you will only try the rides that you want.” You told.

“Only the adults are allowed to try such big rides. They won’t let you in, so don’t be scared.” Yongguk explained, and the little boy nodded as he hugged you.

“Okay, I am not scared anymore.” Ki Joon said.

“That’s a good boy.” Taecyeon chuckled, making Ki Joon smile.

“Ugh, so cute.” Soomin squealed as she stepped in to brush Ki Joon’s curls.

“We can try merry go round.” You suggested and Ki Joon’s eyes drifted up to yours and his eyes finally lit up with ease and he nodded.

The amusement park was filled with vibrant voices, screams of people who tried the rides, running kids that laughed, couples, and families. Positivity, laughter, and happiness. You loved coming to parks.

You walked for a bit, ch

Chapter 6: This chapter was really fun. They also had super fun shopping. Like their audience, those three did look like a family. Also, those two blushing and slowly developing feelings for the other is a welcome sight. Can't wait to see what kind of stories those two would come up with in order to tackle his family. Also, it's kinda weird to see them call each other with their family name, mostly because I'm not used to it. Anyway, I will be back later to read more ^^

Chapter 5: It was nice to see them bonding with Ki Joon and in turn, him slowly opening up to them. And Yongguk's behaving this way towards her because he's kinda jealous of things unknowingly right? LoL... Setting my delulu mind aside, he's gotta change and not be like those elementary boys who are rude to their crush. Nonetheless, I hope they get to know each other better soon. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to fool their family this way. Anyway, I will be back later to read more ^^

Like Yongguk, I think their cohabitation would be fun too. And I went through your blog to look at all the pictures at once. It was nice to have a visual aid for all those room. Chapter 2: Sera's and Taec's friendship is sweet. Hope there won't be a love triangle or something later. Also, can't wait to see Ki Joon. BTW isn't Poodle one of the hypoallergenic dog breeds? Tigger is a poodle right? That's what I remember reading but correct me if I was wrong. Anyway, now that she has gotten his address, wonder when she'll move in and how things turn develop (fights or so) before Ki Joon gets home. Will be back later to read more ^^

Chapter 1: Read the first chapter and gotta say it was a pretty good start. Definitely didn't expect the adoption to start this way. I'm definitely looking forward to their cohabitation. I'm sure they are gonna bicker all the time Ki Joon wasn't around. And speaking of Ki Joon, I'm curious of one thing. When you explained his backstory, I failed to understand this part. Is he N.Korean by origin/blood and lost his parents while trying to defect to S.Korea? Did I understand that part correctly? Anyway, I can't wait to read more. But will be back later to do so ^^

Hi there, I came across your story while searching for something interesting to read. The plot sounds different and intriguing. But before I started reading this, I just wanted to check that this story isn't on hiatus or discontinued. I hope to hear from you soon ^^

Yongguk frustrates me, like he can read Kwon like an open book but he is so closed that we don't know what he thinks or feels.

Chapter 75: Yong guk is so difficult to read lol. I'm very confused by his emotions and actions sometimes 😂
