Chapter 10

A Day Out (Part 2/2)

The big sign in front of you told you where you were at; Children’s Grand Park. You turned to look at Ki Joon, who sat quietly in the car.

Yongguk soon parked the car and you stepped out of it. He quickly helped Ki Joon get out. You looked out and saw the park.

Children's Grand Park

You hadn't been there for ages and Ki Joon seemed thrilled, when he discovered where he was.

It's Ki Joon's first time coming to a park. Yongguk walked straight out, and you smiled as you secretly looked at him.

You had to admit that this was a really good idea for Ki Joon to come out and you also enjoyed parks.

Ki Joon suddenly ran towards Yongguk and grabbed his hand. Yongguk looked down, puzzled and surprised.

The little boy looked up to him and smiled shyly. Yongguk smiled back in awe and grabbed a hold of the little boy’s small hand.

You gazed at the two boys, shook your head, and hurried up to them. You got to the entrance where you buy your tickets, and Yongguk stopped at the desk.

“Two adult tickets and one child ticket please.” He smiled.

The young girl nodded and said the number of the bill. Yongguk quickly pulled out his credit card and scanned it.

You were about to stop him, but he stole a quick glance at you. His dark eyes bore in yours, and you saw his strong gaze.

You rolled your eyes and pulled back. The ticket sales girl put the band around Yongguk's wrist and she moved out to see Ki Joon.

The little boy is obviously short, so Yongguk quickly pulled Ki Joon up, and the little boy couldn't help but giggle.

He got the band around his wrist and stared at it in awe, making you giggle. Once you got yours, the three of you walked into the park.

“Oh~” Ki Joon made a sound of surprise upon seeing how big the park was.

Yongguk brought a map of the entire park and took it out to look at it. He squatted down to Ki Joon and showed him the map.

“Where should we go first?"” He asked the boy.

Ki Joon looked closely at the map and you couldn't help but smile. The two looked quite sweet in this view.

Yongguk was smiling as well. Ki Joon began to think and after a good while, he pointed at the map. Yongguk gazed at the place where the boy pointed at, and the corner of his lips curved up.

“Good choice.” He said with a smile

“Let's go see some animals.” Yongguk announced cheerfully and you smiled. That was a good choice, indeed.

Ki Joon's first choice was to see the Zoo animals and not the amusement park, which was quite interesting. Wouldn’t most kids want to try out the rides in the park first? you wondered. Yongguk led the way since he had the map.

It's a big park, with a botanical garden, zoo and an amusement park. You really wanted to see the botanical garden, if there were time for it.

“I want to see the botanical garden.” You spoke out your mind and then blinked your eyes.

Yongguk looked at you. I want to see it too.” He said, and you looked into his deep eyes and gave a half smile.

“What's a botanical garden?” Ki Joon asked, and you quickly began to explain that it's a big garden with pretty flowers.

Ki Joon didn't seem that interested in going there, but you couldn't blame him, when there's an amusement park and zoo.

Yongguk stole a glance at you and he could see the disappointment in your eyes. You clearly wanted to see the garden.

You understood Ki Joon's feeling, being a kid in an amusement park is so much fun. You smiled and ruffled the little boy's hair. Yongguk then averted his gaze and looked out straight.

He was leading the two of you through the amusement park. The zoo was at the other side of the park.

If Yongguk had known that Ki Joon wanted to see the animals first, he would have started at the zoo and not the amusement park.

After walking for a while through the amusement park, the little boy got all excited as he saw the different rides and heard the loud cheers from kids. The kids were having fun and Ki Joon also wanted to have fun and try those rides.

“Oaaah~” He kept making those sounds.

The both of you looked at the little boy and shook your heads laughing at his endearing antics. It was hard not to smile at Ki Joon’s sudden outburst.

“Ki Joon- ah?” Yongguk called out for the little boy’s name, and he looked up at the older male.

“Are you afraid of roller-coasters?” Yongguk asked the little boy.

The little boy pursed his lips and began to think about it. You couldn't help but grin to yourself, because he looked so cute, when he was thinking hard. After a moment, he shook his head and Yongguk chuckled.

“Since we are in the amusement park, shouldn't we try out some rides first, and then we can go to the zoo, and get an ice cream.” Yongguk suggested.

Ki Joon nodded quickly, the thought of getting ice cream made the little boy happy. You shook your head.

Yongguk always managed to bribe Ki Joon and you suddenly thought of Taecyeon. He also bribed Ki Joon with ice cream and you smiled to yourself. Do all guys bribe kids? you wondered.

You went to the rollercoaster and looked at it, it wasn't that tall up or frightening. It was meant for kids.

You were waiting in the queue and Ki Joon couldn't stand still as minutes passed by, and he kept moving around. He was so hyper today. The little boy got impatient whilst waiting.

Yongguk watched Ki Joon, he quickly noticed that Ki Joon got impatient, and would most likely get tired of waiting, and standing for too long.

Hence, he grabbed the boy and got him on his shoulders. Ki Joon laughed, when he got on top of Yongguk’s broad shoulders suddenly.

The world looked bigger from up there. Yongguk shook his head, when he heard the boy laugh. But it was worth it. Ki Joon giggled, and wrapped his short arms around Yongguk’s neck.

Some people around you stole glances at the three of you occasionally. You heard some women from behind whisper together.

“They are a very young couple.. oh my gosh. Their son seems to be 3 or 4 years old. Where they 20, when they had him?”

You felt angered by what they were saying, although you aren’t Ki Joon’s biological mother. It made you mad to hear how people viewed young mothers.

It seemed like Yongguk had heard them too. He frowned for a second, but looked unfazed. He didn’t seem to let it bother him much.

Yongguk held onto the little boy’s legs as he carried him on his shoulders, and Ki Joon kept smiling. Ki Joon clearly loves being on Yongguk's shoulders.

The three of you were finally waiting for the ride now, and the small train rides moved up, and stopped in front of you.

Yongguk pulled Ki Joon down from his shoulders, and you noticed that there were only seats for two people in one train.

Yongguk quickly gazed at you as he had also noticed it, and you met his look. You can sit with Ki Joon.” He said, but you quickly shook your head.

“It's okay, you can sit with him.” You quickly said as you looked into his eyes.

“Just hold onto him, if he gets scared.” You quickly added and took a seat in one of the trains in the third row. Yongguk sat down with Ki Joon in the front.

People took their seats in the roller-coaster and the seat next to you was empty. The worker was about to pull down the bar and lock you for safety, but someone quickly showed up, and moved in next to you.

You looked up surprised and saw a young man. He was probably around your age. He had chocolate brown hair and fair skin.

“Are we ready now?” The worker asked.

Yongguk tilted his head and saw the young man next to you. He furrowed his brows, but turned around again, when everything looked fine. The stranger next to you nodded, and quickly looked at you and smiled.

You smiled back out of kindness. The ride began to move, and you leaned back in the seat, and the young guy next to you moved a bit closer to you. You tensed up and tightened your grip on the bar.

You shook off the weird feeling from him and looked out straight. The ride moved, and you smiled, when you could hear Ki Joon giggle at the front. Yongguk laughed and held onto the little boy.

The train finally moved down the big hill and Ki Joon laughed aloud. You heard his laughter, and also laughed.

During the ride, whenever you moved down the small hill, Ki Joon would giggle and hold onto Yongguk.

Yongguk was cheering loudly and it made you laugh too, somehow. Ki Joon laughed as well upon hearing Yongguk cheer loudly. You hadn't heard Yongguk like this before.

He was laughing a lot and Ki Joon's laughter is contagious after all. You found yourself laughing too, when the train moved down the hills, and you would get those small butterflies in your stomach. Ki Joon felt them too and giggled.

“Hold on tight.” Yongguk cooed, and Ki Joon grabbed onto his arm, and hid his face into him.

Yongguk looked down at the little boy and smiled. He is indeed adorable.

“We are going down!” Yongguk yelled, and Ki Joon screamed as the train moved down faster and then he giggled.

“It’s fun.” The boy chimed.

You looked at them and saw Yongguk smiling at Ki Joon, and the little boy was holding onto him. They looked really sweet, or rather Ki Joon did.

The ride came to an end and you stepped out of the ride. Ki Joon jumped out and he was feeling hyped.

Yongguk shook his head at the boy and you saw that Ki Joon's small curls had become messy. Yongguk looked at you as you bent down and fixed Ki Joon's hair. You smiled, when you were done and moved back up.

“Was it fun?” You asked, and the boy nodded with a smile on his face.

Yongguk froze for a moment, when he saw your look, and you quickly caught his gaze. You looked at him confused.

“What is it?” You asked.

“Your..” Yongguk waved his hand at his head, signaling something, and you narrowed your eyes. You didn’t understand him.

“Your hair.” He said, and you blinked your eyes.

“It’s also messed.” He said.

You quickly ran your fingers through your hair, combing it. You tried to fix it. However, a hair lock was pointing out.

Yongguk noticed that and felt the urge to fix it. You ran your fingers through your hair and pulled some in front, but that hair lock poked out.

Yongguk gazed at it. “You missed that.” He said as he quickly leaned forward, and pulled the hair lock down.

Your eyes widened of surprise and your heart stopped beating for a moment. Yongguk quickly pulled back. He just did that for you.

Yongguk moved his gaze away. He didn’t know why he did that. You blinked your eyes a couple of times and the your lips. You looked at Ki Joon, who was waiting quietly.

“You weren’t afraid of that ride, right?” Yongguk asked the little boy, who quickly shook his head.

“That’s right.” Yongguk cooed, and quickly pulled Ki Joon up for a big hug, and the little boy giggled.

You two.” You randomly said, and shook your head and laughed at the.

You felt awkward suddenly, after Yongguk just fixed your hair, or rather he pulled your hair lock back.

“Jealousy is an ugly thing Kwon, and it doesn’t suit you.” He said, and you gapped at him.

“What?” You gasped.

You wanted to smack Yongguk right there and now, but he was holding onto Ki Joon. You rolled your eyes, snickered, and walked down the stairs. Yongguk chuckled and quickly followed you, along with Ki Joon.

“Are you mad Kwon?” He asked with a chuckle.

You turned to look at him, giving him a hard glare as you walked, before you averted your gaze on the street. You rolled your eyes at his comment, and he chuckled further.

The three of you strode down the park and you looked around you. There were quite a lot of families.

You saw parents taking care of their kids, laugh and smile. It felt weird, seeing how real those families were and you glanced at Ki Joon.

You really care a lot about Ki Joon in that short amount of time that you’ve known him. He meant the world to you.

You weren't even in love with Yongguk and you pretended to be a couple for Ki Joon's sake. You shook off the thoughts and looked to the sides.

As you walked down the street, you noticed the air mattresses, which you can jump on. Ki Joon tugged your shirt, pulling you towards the place. You laughed and followed Ki Joon.

You remember those air mattresses as kid. It was one of the best things to play at. You could jump all that you want.

There were a few of them and you got onto one of them with Ki Joon. Yongguk saw the two of you and followed you.

Ki Joon began to jump, and you stood still for a moment. It was weird being on there as a grown adult.

But there were other families with their kids too and Ki Joon wanted you there. Hence, you began to jump, and soon enough, you actually had fun.

The two of you laughed as you jumped on the mattress, and Ki Joon jumped around and made flips. It made you laugh harder, seeing him try out things.

You cooed as you saw him jump up higher. He was really good despite being a little boy. Yongguk gazed at you, and saw you laughing.

You grabbed the little boy's hands and jumped together. Even when you stumbled and fell down, you quickly got back up, and laughed even more.

“What's with that woman?” He mumbled to himself.

Ki Joon saw the older male and jumped towards him and Yongguk met Ki Joon. “Come and play with me.” He said, and Yongguk could hear how breathless the little boy was, but he was having so much fun.

Yongguk pulled himself together. He put his pride to the side, once again for Ki Joon, and thought to himself that being a father means that you shouldn't be embarrassed to play these games with your kid. You looked behind you and saw that Yongguk had also gotten on the mattress now.

Yongguk began to jump and he found himself laughing and having fun too. Ki Joon asked Yongguk if he could make flips too and Yongguk tried and showed off a big air flip.

Ki Joon was amazed and tried it as well, but he couldn't jump that high, naturally. Yongguk praised Ki Joon and the little boy got shy and felt good and tried more flips.

You suddenly stopped jumping, and gazed at the two, for a moment. Yongguk laughed aloud, his eyes seemed brighter, and he had a really sweet laughter. He sounded almost like a child.

You hadn’t noticed that another man got near you from behind and you suddenly got pushed by him by accident.

The man hadn’t noticed you, because his back was facing you and he quickly apologized, when he hit you. However, it was too late.

You shrieked, surprised, and stumbled onto Yongguk, who was right in front of you. Yongguk got surprised, and you fell down on the mattress and he fell down on top of you.

You gasped, when your back hit the mattress hard. Yongguk fell down on you with his full weight, and you got pressed down onto the mattress.

Your eyes were shut for a moment, and you quickly opened your eyes, when you realized who was on top of you. You met his gaze and stiffened.

Your heart instantly began to pound harder, and your cheeks flushed up. You felt hot of embarrassment, because of the sudden closeness that was caused by an accident.

Yongguk lay on top of you, and you could literally fell his hard chest press down on yours, and his strong and manly scent lingered on you. You took a deep breath, but could smell him even more and you sighed deeply.

You were unable to move until he got up from you. The man who accidently pushed you said sorry to you and walked off.

Ki Joon simply laughed at the two of you. The little boy thought it was funny how you fell together.

Yongguk's face was just inches away from yours and you looked into each other's eyes. You could feel his warm breath on your face. Yongguk couldn't believe that he literally fell on you.

The closeness made him feel weird somehow and he couldn't move away right away. He was startled. He could feel your fast heartbeat and he blinked his eyes.

“I'm sorry.” He finally said, his tone was much deeper and
