"Bank robbery in Gangnam yesterday. Here. Look at this," Jinwoo pointed at the screen. "My colleague reported about the incident and when I checked out the photos, I saw this. It's an aid! I asked him for more photos, even his drafts. And take a look! They're all dressed like aids!" Jiyong narrowed his gaze at the men but as he zoomed in the photo, he could not identify any of them. There were four men dressed exactly like aids but none were familiar to him. "Check the CCTV, start at sixteen hundred hour," Seunghyun ordered and Seunghoon and Taehyun quickly followed. "Accessing the system... In 3,2,1. Here you go," Seunghoon clicked the final button and soon the video was playing. Everyone watched in silence. It was after almost 20 minutes when Jiyong suddenly spoke. "They're not aids." Everyone turned to him. "These are not our members." "Do you know all of your members?" Seunghyun asked. "Yes except the new bloods. The new recruits. Still, I refuse to believe they're our men." "How come? They look like—" "Anyone can look like us. It takes an aid to know one. And as far as I can see, they're not." Jiyong studied the footage for a while. "Pause it. Go back a bit." He told the younger guys. "There. See those guns? We don't have those back in Area 1. They're different." "I think someone is trying to make you guys look bad." Taehyun mumbled as he played the footage in slow motion. "I'm seeing the General tomorrow." Seunghyun grabbed his coat. "I'll see what information I can get. Besides, it's better to keep your enemies close," he said before finally marching out. "You kids go get some rest." Jiyong dismissed the boys but the three just looked at each other and shrugged. "We packed some clothes and instant food. We decided to move in." Seunghoon said nonchalantly. "It's very inconvenient to go back and forth. Total waste of time." Taehyun added, his eyes still directed to his laptop. "Besides, there are lots of rooms here. We can have one for each of us!" Jinwoo said cheerfully as he turned to the serious two. "Right guys?" "You go find your own room. We're sleeping here." Seunghoon answered as he looked at Jinwoo. "You know this place is haunted." "Yah!" Jinwoo yelled at the two. The three started to banter and Jiyong could just watch in amusement. They were doing everything without pay and even sacrificed their time and energy for something without assurance. Hell, he doesn't even have a concrete plan, himself. "Make sure to lock up securely. I'm outta here," Jiyong shook his head at the still arguing guys, Jinwoo being the loudest. He grabbed his coat and was about to head out when he noticed a phone on the couch. "," he mumbled as he picked it up. It was Seunghyun's and he quickly ran after him but the phone suddenly vibrated in his hand. Told ya girls can kick too. Well, hey. You can't call it blob no more. My baby's gonna be a mini-me. Jiyong suddenly felt his legs become heavy. He halted near the staircase and he didn't realize he was reading the message that popped up on the screen over and over again. "It's a girl." He mumbled all to himself and he smiled at the screen just imagining how Dara looked when she was younger. Their daughter might look exactly like her, he thought. Sweet and gentle and fragile. But not too long, negative thoughts tormented him. How is he going to protect them? Is staying away from them enough? He sat down the stairs and ran a palm down his face. He was drowned in his thoughts until the phone in his hands vibrated once more, this time longer. He answered it. "Oh my God! Why weren't you picking up?" The voice on the line made him sigh. He missed that voice. That voice who was used to worry about him a lot. He missed it so bad. "He left his phone," he briefly answered. "J-jiyong..." Oh how she calls his name. No there weren't just butterflies. He felt like he was punched in the stomach. "So it's a girl." he managed to say. "I don't know if I have the right to say this, but... Congratulations." He was about to end the call but there was a faint sob from the other line, and he clenched his fist until his knuckles turned white. "Jiyong, wait! Wait! Listen to me, please!" He drowned himself in the sound of her sobs. She didn't sound mad. She sounded like she was pleading. After being left alone by him, she didn't sound angry at all. "Dara..." At the very least, he was able to say her name. "We're having a daughter, Ji. We're going to have a daughter!" She was crying then laughing and soon, Jiyong found himself doing the same. Tears pricked his eyes but a smile crept up his lips. A daughter. A lovely and sweet daughter. Someone he would love to protect all his life. "Jiyong... Say something please..." He heard her laughter turn to sobs. Hell, anyone would think they're both crazy right now. "Jiyong," "I... Don't deserve to know." That was what he managed to say but when the other line fell silent, he tried to explain himself but he was never good with words to begin with. "I... I'm sorry." "You do." Dara's voice was firm. "You deserve to and have the right to because you're her father. It's up to you if you won't care. But you care. I know you do. That's why you left us, right? You said you will find a way. You said you'll protect us." There was a long pause before Jiyong spoke again. "Do you trust me that much?" "Yes. And in a few days, Seunghyun's going to be my husband and the father of our child in public. Would you trust me too?" Jiyong sighed as he shut his eyes. He trusts Dara. He wants to trust Seunghyun as well. He was already starting to. He just doesn't really trust himself that he won't feel jealous. It should be him. But this was what they've decided before. What right does he have to change it? "I trust you." "That's all I need." "I miss you so bad." He lost all his energy when he said that. It was like accepting defeat. "So bad." "I miss you too. We'll get through this." Dara said in a hushed, comforting voice. "We'll do everything right when this all ends." Jiyong nodded as if she can see him. He was trying to suppress himself from crying but he couldn't. When he cries, it's only because of her. "I love you," Dara finally s
