When he was enveloped by the depths of darkness, in came the light.
Hi guys! This is actually my first story on AFF so I'm kind of nervous actually publishing my story. If there are any flaws please don't hesitate to comment and be nice about it because I do want constructive criticism but I want it without the rudeness (*^▽^*) If you like what you see please hit subscribe and maybe upvote too? ~ (。・ω・。)
Foreword
Oh Haneul (OC) is a normal 18-year-old high schooler. She has lived a fairly well life and never encountered much drama in her life, just the minor stuff everyone goes through. She has to move in her last year of high school because her dad was promoted and had to transfer to a different office branch. Haneul is blessed with great looks from her parents and attracts a fair amount of attention not only with her looks, but also her outgoing personality. She's nice but not nice enough to be taken advantage of and she's good at several things, school related and not, but she isn't flawless. She is a bit childish, curious, and dorky. Just like her name Haneul (translation; the sky), she is bright and shines light onto people's lives. Haneul has one specialty she prides herself on; she's extremely good at analyzing people through their behaviour. Where could this specialty end up leading her?
Jeon Jungkook, on the other hand, is not your average 18-year-old. He's dealt with sadness like no other and has been emotionally & physically hurt several times. Just two years earlier, he was happy like every other high schooler. Just one year earlier, his girlfriend was killed in a brawl between his gang, the Bangtan Gang, and the Block B Gang. One year later and here he is, still grieving. Not only that, but he's turned colder than ever now and the only people that can actually get through to him are his friends, Bangtan Boys. He won't talk to anyone but his friends unless he's forced to and masks any sort of limited emotion he feels with a dark expression. Will the light eventually break through his darkness?
Bangtan Boys are the group of insanely attractive boys at Seungri High School. They were previously a gang but quit their fighting days after an incident which involved the death of Jungkook's girlfriend. They stuck to being just kingkas at their school and are wonderful at it, as they all have interesting personalities and gorgeous faces. All seven of them are on the receiving end of attention and love from the entire female population of the school, even the stone-faced Jungkook.
Gong Chanhee is the adorable guy Haneul becomes friends with as soon as she gets to Seungri High. He's everything you could want in a friend and he's super cute as well. He's caring, hilarious and everyone that knows him, (which is a lot of people) loves him. As Haneul was trying to find her way around the school, Chanhee saw her and being the nice person he was, he decided to help her. They've only known each other for about a week but they're already close friends, which says a lot about how well their personalities match. Chanhee is also Ahri's loyal boyfriend.
Song Ahri is Haneul's other best friend at Seungri High. Ahri's boyfriend, Chanhee, introduced Haneul to Ahri and they became instant friends. Ahri is gorgeous and to go along with that, she has a great personality. Although she does have her flaws; she is honest, even at times where it would be better to lie and she will give anyone doing wrong a piece of her mind. Ahri is a really loyal friend and girlfriend and would do anything for her loved ones.
Lee Hana is the school's #1 sought out girl. Most guys love her purely based on her looks, but she's actually not the most terrible person once you get to know her. She's not the nicest girl you'll meet but she's not completely arrogant either. She takes part in her fair share of gossip but she still has ethics. Hana might have the image of a but that's only because every guy she gets with only wants her for the benefits and doesn't stay with her for a long period of time. Will her mean side start to overtake her good side once she can't have what she wants?
Kim Soeun is Jungkook's ex/dead girlfriend. When she was alive, she made Jungkook the happiest guy ever. She was bright, gorgeous, kind-hearted and she was so innocent. But she had to fall for a bad boy and everything changed; she ended up dying in a fight between her boyfriend's gang and their rival gang.
A little insight into the first few chapters...
No matter how much she was going to miss her old home, friends, and school, Oh Haneul was forever remaining optimistic. That's just how she was brought up and what her personality is like. Optimistic, bright, joyous, people-pleaser, outgoing, childish, observant, curious, dorky and loving are all words that can be used to describe Haneul. Which is why when she gets to her new school, it's like she's been there for a long time. She fits right in because everyone loves talking to her. Not in a "Oh she's so popular, let's go talk to her" type of way, more like "She has a great personality and she's easy to talk to" type of way. She definitely didn't reach the popularity status of Lee Hana, the most sought out girl of the school, but she did gain tons of love from the school teachers and students. Within the first week she can already say she has two very close friends; Song Ahri and Gong Chanhee. Haneul thinks she is fairly good in vocals (but her fellow peers know she's actually very impressive) and so she enjoys that class the most during the school day. She has that class with her two best friends and some of the members of the Bangtan Boys. The Bangtan Boys are the popular group of kingkas at Seungri High. They're all gorgeous and talented in their own way. All except one of them show their thanks to all their fans quite often. The one who doesn’t is the infamous Jeon Jungkook. Jungkook wasn't always so stone-faced. An accident in the previous year involving the death of his girlfriend Kim Soeun had turned him like that and he's remained grieving ever since. No one other than the Bangtan Boys and Block B know what happened the night of the accident and so no one knows of why Jungkook looks so expressionless all the time. Jungkook takes vocals as well because he's known as the member of the group who is the best singer. Haneul, being the observant girl she is, notices something in Jungkook that is different from the rest of the school. Not really a more attractive different which makes her fall in love, but more like... a depressed sort of different. The only time anyone can really see Jungkook's real expressions are when he's alone with Bangtan with no one else around, or when he's singing. That's how everything begins.
