Rainy Day AUs
  • both stuck under a tiny awning without an umbrella
  • stranger holds their umbrella out the stranger without one in a sudden downpour
  • both in a tiny cafe/bookstore waiting out the storm
  • hikers each take refuge in a cabin in the woods during sudden thunder storm (twist: one is afraid of thunder/lightning)
  • hitchhiker in the rain gets picked up by someone
  • hitchhiker in the rain gets picked up by someone AND THEN their car breaks down on the side of the road
  • campers in a campsite but one only brought a sleeping bag planning to sleep beneath the stars, forgetting to check the weather forecast. the other offers them into their tent for the night. 
  • (tw!) one’s car hydroplanes outside/near the other’s house but the storm is too bad for police or EMS to come out yet until the flood subsides
  • “want to split a cab? come on, this is the only one open and we’re both heading the same way and I promise I’m not an insane stalker who’s planning to follow you home and kill you please let me jump in.”

yeah but what about superhero aus???
  • the we’re both superhero vigilantes who happened to run across each other’s paths and we don’t know it but we’re actually each other’s roommates and it’s kind of weird that we didn’t notice it earlier au
  • alternately, my roommate is my archenemies but damn we made some great lasagne last night so maybe i’ll let them get away this one time au
  • also what about that one time my gf/bf was fighting crime && made his/her great escape but then lost the car keys and money to get on the metro so now i have to drive out there to get them au; an au which can be gratuitously mixed in with “&& now my sleepy significant other is passed out on the couch so guess who has to wash their superhero uniform?!?!?!?!”
  • or how about that one time my significant other revealed to me that s/he was that amazing superhero on tv but i knew already because really? really. i’d know those cheekbones five miles away without my glasses on a foggy day au

au ideas

pirate au: muse a is a fabled pirate captain, well known throughout the land, dominating the high seas with thievery and marauding.  muse b is the child of high standing officials in a town where muse a often stops for raids.  the next time they come around, they decide to kidnap muse b and ask for ransom.  but muse b is kept in the captain’s quarters, and against all morals, they find themselves attracted to the pirate.  what if feelings develop?  what if muse b ends up not wanting to go back?

rage virus au: it starts small—-just a few people.  but it spreads fast.  in a week, it’s a national epidemic.  in three, it’s worldwide.  people start killing each other out of a vicious, uncontrollable rage, but they still maintain their earlier intelligence and human cunning.  very few members of the population are unaffected by the virus, and muse a and muse b are two of them.  alone together, they must try not to be killed, while wondering the whole time if they can trust the other, or if this is just a plan and the virus lurks inside of them, waiting to come to the surface.

haunted au: muse a has just moved into a new house, and they believe they’re alone.  but as it turns out, the place is haunted—-by muse b.  at first, muse b stays back, simply observing.  but soon they start doing little things, just in an attempt to be noticed.  muse a, however, doesn’t believe in ghosts.  they keep finding “logical” explanations for the occurrences, until muse b finally appears to them.  they keep muse a company when they’re lonely, serve as a listening ear, change tv channels for them, and help them find their lost keys.  after a while, muse a realizes that they’re in love…with a ghost.  and they have two choices: move out so they can be away of the source of their feelings, or try to make it work.

aus i want more than life itself:

  • you work at this wealthy country club and i’m a regular who happens to think you’revery cute and i sorta wanna make my parents mad by flirting with you but i won’t tell you that
  • we’re just friends living in a shabby apartment and the shower stops working and we have to share cold water and we can only afford one bed tho it’s okay because we have each other but wait who’s this person you brought home last night nevermind we’re just friends
  • we hate each other but our parents are friends and set us up on a date and we’re messing with them so they’ll lay off tho you’re taking this fake dating to extremes and i quite like it but shut up i hate you why is your hand on my knee when they’re not around we’re just pretending ??
  • you’re my siblings bf / gf or best friends sibling and the first person you turn to is me and we stay up talking on the phone until 3am every night until we’re closer than they know and i don’t think this is okay
  • you’re older than me and have much more experience and think i’m just a stupid kid but you still can’t stop laughing at my childish jokes and calling out my name at 2am

Chapter 4: Very interesting. I used to write fan fiction stories before I went to college, but after I graduated, my brain pretty much deteriorated. I can't write a story to save my life. I have to start looking for inspiration from places and I decided to look on AFF. This is a pretty cool group. I like most of the ideas on here. Who knows, I might be able to come up with something.

Chapter 8: Yo! Hi there. I was just browsing on through and I really like the idea of this plot right here. Like I can already imagine what I would want to do with it and who I’d want to use. Don’t think I’d plan on putting it up anytime soon tho, but definitely want to make a story with this sometime in the future! So would that be cool with you? Because I wanna get your permission to so I can start planning and working on it soon and be ready by the time I do actually wanna post it. If yes, I’ve got a question; is it okay if I change the title? Since I’ve already came up with another one I like more.
