Humans believed that supernatural beings were just myths created by their ancestors. Unbeknownst to them, these beings do actually exist. One of these beings are the ELEMENTALS.

The Elementals have long roamed the four corners of the world. They are the descendants of the gods of the four elements - earth, water, wind, and fire. They have been bestowed by the gods with the power to control the elements. They keep the balance in nature as they maintain peace and order among all supernatural beings that roam the world of humans. Though with special abilities, the Elementals are human-like in nature. They experience life like humans - have families, meet friends, go to school/work, experience love, and so much more. Though they live like humans, they strictly adhere to the rules of their kind. Just like humans, the Elementals follow a hierarchy in their society to maintain peace and order. They have the High Council, composed of representatives of each clan, which governs and implements the laws of their kind. They have an elite group of warriors who protect the Elementals from their enemies and ensure the proper implementation of their law - the Hae Dal Chi.

Each clan is composed of many families who are governed by a family chosen by the gods through a ritual that the Elementals perform every 25 years when the Harmonic Convergence occurs. Elementals adhere to the gods' choices without any question. Thus, they follow the chosen leaders wholeheartedly.

For the past three cycles of the Harmonic Convergence, the same families have ruled the four clans. The Earth Clan (Daeji Elementals) is ruled by the Kim family.

The Water Clan (Mul Elementals) is led by the Lee family. 

The Hwang family heads the Wind Clan (Balam Elementals).

The Fire Clan (Hwajae Elementals) is governed by the Jung family.

They have maintained peace and order among the supernatural beings and the humans with the help of the High Council and the Hae Dal Chi until an unknown group of enemies discovered about the Hae Dal Prophecy. This has led to one of the worse, if not the worst event in the history of Elementals.
