Description
University is kind to no one.
Love doesn't show mercy to anyone either.
Autumn, when leaves changed colours. It marks the start of a new semester; a new school year, another beginning.
Kyungmi hated change, because it throws her into an entirely new environment. Throughtout her entire life, she had always liked things the way they always were; unchanged.
Getting dragged into a friendship and suddenly developing an interest in a male, nothing makes sense to Kyungmi another; she wasn't ready for this.
Not again.
Getting hurt once was more than enough.
Foreword
"I hate change."
"We're best friends now, okay? No takebacks."
"Why do you want to be friends with someone like me?"
"Everyone has their reasons. Mine just doesn't need to be voiced."
"Why am I feeling like this again?"
"Do you like me?"
"I think...I like you."
"Then I'm willing to try."
"Don't you know who really loves you?"
"I don't...understand..."
"Did you ever realize that maybe someone else closer to you loves you?"
"Why are you so hesitant to take a step forward?"
"I don't want to fall."
"We can fall together."
"Love never stays the same, you know."
"Why are you so against change?"
"Because change hurt me."
"Then let me be the one to change that."
Kyungmi wasn't always an introvert, but going through a harsh break up with her first love, she withdrew herself from the world. She got hurt because she thought a bit of change would possibly benefit her, not realizing that it would be the worst mistake she ever made. From then on, change was unwelcomed; new people were unwelcomed; new friendships were unwelcomed; anything new was unwelcomed. That's why she loved photography-because the people and objects in it remain the same forever.
Going into the first year of University, it was a given that she would be unhappy about it. In fact, Kyungmi hated Autumn because that meant she had to start another new school year, meeting new students and teachers. But then, what can she say when she meets a mysteriously cheerful and persistent guy who firmly claimed they would be best friends? And when her feelings betray her and she starts to fall for another guy after two years of solitude, her orthodox of everything staying the same comes crashing down on her.
Is it love, infatuation or is it simply attraction?
Are her feelings even for the right person?
But maybe, just maybe, things will change for the better this time.
