Introductions

My All For You

"I-I'm sorry!" The male apologized, shutting his eyes tight as I shook him violently.

"Sorry? You're sorry? Do you know how long I've kept my first kiss? Cen-" I paused for a second, brow twitching with irritation. "A long time!"

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to. I didn't know. I wasn't thinking at the time. You were just so injured. Cassandra, please calm down," he begged, putting his hands behind his head to keep it from hitting the tiled floor.

His friends quickly rushed into the room after hearing the commotion. Two off them lifted me off of the boy as I thrashed about, screaming, kicking my legs, and waving my arms. "Let me go! I need to beat this jerk up. And my name's not Cassandra!"

The blonde boy got off the ground and rubbed the back of his neck, furrowing his brows as he looked at me. "Wow, you look like a really nice girl but you're a real demon, you know that?"

"You little!"

"All right. All right. That's enough. This is a clinic for the sick and injured. You both need to stop it this instant," Jin interrupted, taking a seat at his desk and writing on his clipboard. "Now, Cassandra-"

"Not my name," I retorted, huffing.

Jin sighed and rolled his eyes. "Okay, miss. V didn't know it was your first kiss. His first reaction was to save your life, okay? How about we all just forgive and forget? Sound like a deal? After all, he did bring you here for treatment."

I scoffed and yanked my arms from the two guys' holds, grumbling as I crossed my arms. "Fine."

"Now, why don't we all just start over and do some introductions? How about you start, miss? If your name isn't Cassandra, then what is it?"

I glanced around at the boys who had just enetered the room. Were they all Artemis' hunters as well? Pulling my alias out of my memory, I responded to Jin's question. "Yoo Jiae. My name is Yoo Jiae. I'm twenty-one, and I'm a daughter of Hestia, a vestal ."

A boy who looked much younger than I did sputtered slightly, catching everyone's attention. He grinned and covered his grin, as if trying to cover the fact that he was laughing. "Sorry for the sudden outburst. The name's Jeon Jeongguk. I'm seventeen. I'm a son of Hermes." He tilted his head questioningly at me, quirking a brow. "Are you sure you're a daughter of Hestia? Hestia is a goddess. She can't have children. And the vestal s all disappeared when Greek fell. There's no way you could be a vestal , no one but the original s can even get to Hestia to ask for the vestal pact anymore."

I scoffed and snarled at him. What a little smart ... "I'll have you know, I'm over five centuries old, little boy," I replied stubbornly, offended by the fact that he was doubting my authenticity.

"Yeah. Sure. And I'm a God," he retorted, snickering.

"Why you-" I gritted my teeth and raised a fist, only to have Jin hold me back.

"Okay. Okay, that's enough Jeongguk," Jin said quickly before anymore could happen. "You can't jump to conclusions, Jeongguk. We don't know for sure who her parent is. We'll just have to wait until her parent claims her at the claiming ceremony. Let's hurry and wrap up introductions, yeah? Dinner will be starting in an hour or so."

A guy will silver hair smiled and saluted me as a greeting. He seemed to radiate a certain aura that felt powerful and strong, like a leader. "I'm Kim Namjoon. My friends call me Rap Monster or Rapmon, and I'm a son of Zeus. One of the few sons of Zeus that is."

I squinted my eyes at him slightly, intrigued by his nickname. "Rapmon? Why?"

I could see him become noticably flustered as he looked to the ground and rubbed his neck, smiling so widely his eyes dissappeared into two crescents. "Because they think I'm a bad rapper. You see, rap monster. Monster of rap. Aka I'm stepping on all those lyrics like a monster.*"

*just sayin I have nothing against Rapmon. He's my bias, but I wanted to make his character a bit more AU.

I couldn't help but let out a slight chuckled at the reasoning, a slight smile tugging at my lips. "I'll remember that then, Rapmon. Pleasure meeting you."

A handsome fellow with black hair and a dangerous looking smile approached me, lifting my hand to his face and kissing as he winked at me. "Nice to meet 'cha. I'm Park Jimin. My, you're quite a pretty, little lady."

All my centuries of being wooed after and flirted with by other men, I had always kept my composure, nearly never reacting to such gestures but looking into eyes, I felt a sudden surge of thrill and attraction. It may be a bit exaggerating to say it, but I felt slightly in danger because of it. As if he were luring me into some sort of trap. I found myself suddenly leaning closer to him when Jin suddenly stepped in between us, snapping me out of my trance. "Wh-what was that?" I asked myself quietly, confused by the ordeal.

"Be careful around this guy, Cass- Jiae. His father was a descendent of a Ares and his mother is Aphrodite. He has the charms and abilities of an Aphrodite offspring but he still has Ares' dangerous blood running through him. Don't take him lightly," Jin warned, turning around to flick Jimin on the forehead. Jimin growled at Jin and bit as his finger.

"Why are you warning me about him? You were the one who tried to give me my ambrosia using your mouth. Aren't you the same as him then?" I asked, quirking a brow.

"Don't compare me to that guy!" Jimin and Jin shouted in unison. The two shot glares at each other and I could have sworn I saw sparks fly. I looked over to Rapmon, the son of Zeus, to see if he was the one who caused it. He looked from my eyes back to the scene between the two and put his hands up in defeat, shaking his head as if to say he were innocent. "You wanna fight me?" The two continued shouting, grabbing each other's shirts and raising fists. "Stop copying me!"

A sudden wall of darkness came up between the two, immediately throwing them backwards opposite ways. Just as fast as it appeared, the wall dispersed, disintergrating into nothing but wisps of black smoke that soon disappeared into the air. In the corner, a boy with red hair leaned his back against the wall, arms crossed and one foot flat against the wall with his knee bent. His eyes were completely black, though they soon returned to normal, leaving a look that said, "I'm done with you." The image I had seen before had sent shivers down my spine. A boy with pitch black eyes and a scowl that could strike fear into the hearts of others. "Enough, you two," he said in an almost monotone voice. "Annoying..." He looked away and stared at the ground.

Jin huffed and pushed Jimin away before dusting himself off. "Anyway, the guy brooding over there is Min Yoongi. We call him Suga."

"Why Suga?" I blinked. It was sure a strange nickname for a guy who seemed more or less... sweet.

"Hey, Jiae," Jimin called out, leaning in real close to my face. "You're really cute. I hope you know that." He stared deep into my eyes, and I felt as if his gaze was piercing into my soul. I blushed deeply, shrinking before him. Without looking away, he picked up a pen from the table by my bedside and threw it at Suga, catching his attention.

"Hey!" Suga shouted, looking over our way. Seeing the look on my face, he blushed deeply himself and cooed quietly to himself. "C-cute..." Without thinking he rushed over, pushed Jimin out of the way, and hugged me tightly, smiling contently. "How cute!"

Jin chuckled. "You see, we call him Suga because he may normally seem like anything but sweet, in reality, he takes a 180 degree turn when he sees cute things." I looked at Suga awkwardly before slowly pushing him away. As soon as he let go, he looked around before returning to his normal self, going back to his corner. Jin looked around and pursed his lips, humming softly. "I think that's everyone. All of my friends anyway."

"We're missing someone, hyung," Jeongguk interrupted, looking around and counting heads. "Six. There's only six of us. Where's-"

"Hey, guys," a cheery voice greeted, walking in through the door. He held a bundle of wild flowers in his hands with a hawk perched on his shoulder. His eyes met mine, and we held our gaze for a few seconds before a smile grew across his face. His smile alone could've lit up the room. For a second, I felt as though my heart had stopped. "Ay, you're up! Welcome back." He chuckled and walked up to the foot of my bed, leaning over the edge to hand me the bundle of flowers. "I thought you might like some wild flowers to brighten up your room. My name's Jung Hoseok, but you can call me me J-Hope."

I blinked rapidly, my cheeks still tinted pink as I leaned forward to take his hand. "Yoo Jiae... pleasure to meet you," I said softly, smiling. I held onto his hand, finding myself unable to remove my gaze from his face.

"Yah, bro. Are you going to let go of her hand any time soon?" Jin asked, a slight hint of jealousy in his voice as he pulled J-Hope away and gave him a noogie. The hawk on J-Hope's shoulder then jumped off and perched itself at the foot of my bed. J-Hope laughed, shutting his eyes tight as Jin messed up his hair.

"Bro?" I raised a bro questioningly. "You mean-"

"J-Hope is my brother. Well, by god parent anyway," Jin replied, grinning widely as he let J-Hope go.

"But... he's nothing like you," I said softly, staring softly at J-Hope.

"What do you mean?"

"Ah, uh, nothing," I said, shaking my head. "So, what's this about a claiming ceremony?"

"Hm? You haven't told her yet?" J-Hope asked, looking around. "Well, you see, the claiming ceremony happens because this is a school for demigods only. Usually a student would have to wait to be claimed by their parent before they are officially accepted as a demigod or a child of said god. Most kids are claimed during dinner time when a sign from their parent appears, showing that they confirm the student as their child. It's a rare case for students not to get claimed nowadays. Who is your parent anyway?"

I nodded, understanding the concept. I pursed my lips, knowing full well he probably wouldn't believe me even if I told him. "Hestia... I'm a vestal , a daughter of Hestia."

"Goddess of Hearth?" J-Hope asked. He rubbed his chin, questioning it a bit before grinning from ear to ear. "Cool! I'm sure you'll be claimed in no time, then. You're the first child of Hestia I've ever met."

Outside, we could hear bells ringing as the sun began setting over the horizon. Jin checked his watch and nodded, quickly gathering up his things and getting ready to leave. "Speak of which, it's time for dinner," Jin announced, opening a cabinet and grabbing a girl's uniform before tossing it on the bed. "Jiae, we'll wait outside. How about you change into your new uniform, and we'll show you were the dining room is?"

I nodded and watched as they all left one by one. J-Hope stopped at the door, turning around to give me a warm smile before closing the door and heading outside. I felt my heart skip a beat before it began racing. Touching my chest, I furrowed my brows. "What is this strange feeling?" I asked. I shook my head and got out of bed, changing into the uniform. "It's probably nothing..."
