Chapter 3.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing" "You're still bothered by what happened with Kim Jongin, aren't you?" Chanyeol said with a smirk as he sped through yet another red light, not a single care in the world spared for road safety as he continued to break multiple traffic laws in order to get to work on time. "No I'm not" "Don't lie" Kyungsoo heaved a sigh. So maybe he was bothered by what had happened, but why shouldn't he be? Kim Jongin was only seventeen and his behaviour worried Kyungsoo. Even as an adult, Kyungsoo was rather naïve – even he knew that – but his heart was in the right place and he didn't appreciate seeing one of his students in such a bad light — no matter how long or how little he had known them. "Okay. I am bothered, happy?" Chanyeol grinned. "Yes. So, if you're so unhappy about it, why don't you do something?" "Like what?! I'm his English teacher and I've only known him for a week! I've been hung up over that whole after school fiasco for days now, which is ridiculous in its self! I have no right to control what he does or says" Kyungsoo began to mope. Maybe he'll listen to you" Kyungsoo leant against the glass before smiling weakly. "Maybe. I don't really think I'll be brave enough to bring it up. Like I said last time, he's got a rather difficult personality." Chanyeol waved it off dismissively. "That's what having a strange family can do to you. And besides, you'll feel better after saying something, right? It's the effort that counts" "A strange family?" Kyungsoo quickly decided he would rather not know, and smiled weakly instead. "I'm hopeless aren't I? Look at me, all bothered and gloomy over something like this – a student of all things!" Chanyeol smiled gently. His voice was soft when he responded. "That's just the way you are." Jongin was only nine minutes late to their second catch up lesson. He walked into the classroom with ease, his blonde hair slicked back stylishly, backpack slung over his shoulder carelessly and an unusual amount of confidence and grace in his step as he practically swaggered into the room. Kyungsoo suddenly had an image of a character from one of his favourite childhood novel series flash into his mind — Draco Malfoy. Kyungsoo shook his head quickly to rid himself of the unnecessary thought: he couldn't waste time being reminded of a fictional character every time Jongin walked into his line of vision. "Hello sir" Jongin drawled as he pulled out the seat across from his teacher, falling into it carelessly before reachi
