2NE1 achieved high success with the release of their first album "To Anyone". The album debuted at number one on the Gaon weekly chart (The equivilant to the U.S Billboard 200) and on its monthly chart as well for the month of September to November, but this wasn't the only triumph, the album made it all the way to the United States where it peaked at number seven on the Billboard World Albums Chart! (a sub-cardigory of Billboard 200) This proved that 2NE1 was far from the girls who showed their stuff in Lollipop yet was met with uncertainty of their success. They were now internationally recognized, a feat that hardly any newly debuting group were able to manage. In total, the album sold a wopping 122, 845 copies by the end of 2010.

-CITICAL RECEPTION-
"To Anyone" was met with mixed reviews from critics. Complaints were made by some about the heavy use of auto-tune (it was a trend in 2010) and vocodors, a popular internation website called Allkpop stated that the song I'm Busy" lacked any real vocals. However, it was a huge hit among Koreans and international fans, this being proven by its selling of 100,000 copies during the same month, a number that increased expenansiouly. High praise was recieved to the album by KBS World, who stated that YG Entertainment was "still one of the the top companies [...] in the music production quality. Both KBS World and Allkpop (who previously critized the album) praised the lonesome song "It Hurts", citing the prescence of real vocal abilty and the true feeling of heartbreak.
