Schedule?

"Minnie!" Jinki called out a couple seconds later after slipping his shoes off. However, he didn’t spot the boy anywhere.

Aish… it’s not like things can go back to the way it used to be. Jinki remember, little by little. He scolded himself. When he knew the boy wouldn’t be waiting out for him like he used to do.

He knew the boy had to be in his room but when he noticed that Taemin wasn't coming out the room from his call, he thought the maknae had his earphones in his ears again.

The leader entered the living finding the other three members standing up. He noticed how they were tensed as they all looked at him but he thought they were just surprised that he came home early just like the other day.

"Where's Taeminnie?" Now sensing that the boy must not be home even if he said he’d stay home. He looked at the three waiting for an answer; after a couple a seconds and still not getting any answers he asked again. "Where's Minnie?... I bought him something!" He said as he showed them the bag. Again, he didn't get an answer and so he walked towards the maknae's room without saying another word, confused as to why the three didn't answer.

"Knock, knock~" He said in time with his hand hitting the door. Jinki waited a few seconds for an answer but got nothing and thought that he was correct with Taemin having his earphones in his ears or at least maybe left.

He opened the door at least hoping the boy would be in there but when he went in he realised that the room was empty and no living being was in there.

"Minnie?" When the person he was looking for wasn't answering him and was obvious the younger wasn't in there, Jinki closed the door and walked back to the living room. By now, the three were looking at him, expecting questions.

"Where's Taeminnie?" He directed his question to Jonghyun because he noticed the two were closer to one another from the past couple of days, it made sense to him since they were roommates but it made him feel like he was somewhat being replaced.

"He just left a few minutes before you came back... he said that manager wanted to see him about his schedules." When the singer was done answering, the other two beside him agreed.

"Oh okay... but what schedules? Shouldn't I know about this then? I am the leader after all." Jinki replied as he put the plastic bag he was still holding on the kitchen counter. He really did wonder why the maknae’s schedule hasn’t been told to him. Usually when the members had something they liked to do or signed up for, he would be the first to know.

"That's what we've been trying to figure out. We would've known what he signed up for by now... but because of this frog over here we don't even have the slightest idea..." Key replied back a he sent Minho a glare but fast enough that Jonghyun wouldn't catch it. He didn’t want the other to get annoyed again.

"When you say 'this frog', you mean Minho right?" Jinki assured. The rapper having his head down looked up at Jinki and replied with a ‘neh’ so that Key wouldn't say anything else.

Minho explained further how Key blamed him for not knowing what Taemini signed up for since he was there when he did. He told him how it wasn't his fault for not knowing because he didn't know that he had to check up on Taemin every time now.

When Minho said something about checking up on Taemin, Jinki focused and tried to figure out the details, he wondered why they had to check on the maknae.

Is Minnie sick or...

The couple knew Jinki was stuck in his thoughts considering the leader looked away from them, speaking to himself. They couldn’t tell Minho to use an excuse to what he said since Jinki was just in front of them so Key took the initiative to hit the boy’s shoulder sending him a look instead. Minho panicked, it was obvious which led him to stutter out his words. "I... I'm s-sure that the sch-edule is about MCing a show... no big deal."

"Taemin-ah, are you really sure you want to do this? I mean this can cause many troubles foe you?" His manager warned him this one last time; the man didn't want him to sign the final paper saying he'll actually do this. He didn't want Taemin to sign because he wanted to keep the boy from harm.

"Hyung... I'm positive. So what if the rates doesn't go up? I can always do my best in everything else if the show ratings doesn't go up. So please don't worry, everyone already thinks this whole thing is scripted so what's the point?"  Taemin assured. He knew he could do this and if it did go the way he didn't want it to go, he knows he can always do something to make non-fans amazed. "It’s not just about the ratings I hope you know that and you're right about what you said, but please think it over." His manager reminded.

"I already did and I want to do this... and who knows… maybe this thing might make me more known to people who hasn’t heard of SHINee..." Taemin replied as he looked down. "Whatever you say... here, if you really want to sign, then go..." The man slid the papers to the dancer giving the other a disappointed look.

Taemin took the papers into his hand slowly and signed it. He knew Key, Minho, Jinki, and everyone else might think it was a wrong idea but he knew Jonghyun and Jongin would probably understand so he didn't worry furthermore.

He gave the paper back to his manager, in which his manager gave him another disappointing glance. "Mianhe hyung, but I really know what I'm doing. Please don't worry."

"Arasso, but if something comes out because of this, I won't have seconds thoughts in saying 'I told you so' got it?" the manager accused. With that, the younger only chuckled but agreed.

The three other members thought about what Jinki said and now that they think of it, Jinki was right. Jinki should know the schedule the maknae signed up for but still he wasn’t even informed. From the very start of their career, Jinki has always been the first out of the other members to know what they chose to do, so why didn’t he know now? Why wasn’t he informed?

They all kept silent and wondered at the same time but Jonghyun knew Taemin must have asked the manager not to say anything about what he was doing. It was obvious. However, the singer didn’t say anything and kept his thoughts to himself.

All was still silent until Jinki let out a gasp. The three looked at him, they knew they had to give Jinki a shot at what he was thinking considering none of them wanted to let their thoughts out.

"You guys..." Jinki started. "What if it's not manager he went out to meet up? What if it's because he's on a date...?" The others knew that the thought was ridiculous because they knew who Taemin loved, and from what they had seen from the maknae, he wouldn’t just go out to go on a date even if he had tried in the past. However, as the leader continued his thoughts, they all slowly started to think the same.

"Because if manager was really the reason he went out to see about a schedule don't you think I would know? Think about it… every schedule you guys ever had, I knew about, but why not this?" Jinki reminded them.

Jonghyun thought for awhile. There was a possibility that the maknae was really trying his best on forgetting about his feelings since he’s been hurting for many years, but was he really giving up this easily? Even after what they had done? But the singer remembered what the maknae had said in the morning… he wasn’t giving up. So if Taemin wasn’t giving up, what is he doing? What was going on in the boy’s head?

Right when Jonghyun was going to stick with that thought, another thought came into his head. If the boy was really meeting up for a schedule, what kind is it? He knew if he stuck with this thought, the boy must’ve been one step ahead of them. ‘Cause knowing the boy for so long already, Taemin was clever.

Still with these thoughts in head, Jonghyun knew he was getting closer to what the boy was planning, but still, he kept his thoughts to himself. He didn’t want the others to know considering he might be wrong… But he knew— he felt he wasn’t, he knew the boy was planning something.

He let the others think about it themselves believing the other three knew Taemin well enough to have the same thoughts as him, but he believed wrong.

"You're right hyung..." Key mumbled back which led to another round of silence.

Jinki was the one to break that silence again. "Do any of you perhaps know who Minnie likes? I remember he once told me he liked someone but he never told me anything about who it was..." He looked up, finally glad that he had this chance to about it. The three stayed quiet acting as if they also had no idea. "Kibum-ah, I know you know... I've noticed that Minnie goes to you now aside from Jonghyun.” Jinki started.

The reason the leader said this was because he recalled the day Taemin went to Key instead of him; telling the other about a girl. However, Jinki also remembers the day Taemin told him about being gay. So he was confused. Still, that doesn't take away the fact that the boy went to Key first.

"Hyung... I don't know." Key replied as he acted that he also didn't have a clue. "Why does everything about Taemin have to be hidden from me!" Jinki finally snapped. He couldn't take it anymore. He was getting tired that he was the one who Taemin didn't come to anymore. He couldn't take it that Taemin would choose others over him, he just wanted to have the old times back again. He wished for it.

Key was startled receiving such a reaction but he smirked to himself, knowing that Jinki was slowly showing how jealous he was getting. The diva masked his face and shouted back at the leader as he stood up. "Hyung I really don't know! I know, Tae and I are getting closer each day but I also know he would still rather tell you these certain things!"

Jinki and Key were shouting and arguing but Jonghyun knew that Key was playing a long to see if their assumptions were right; if Jinki really loved Taemin. But Jonghyun hated how they had to get their answer with yelling so to end it faster, he joined in, knowing the others were afraid when he yelled considering he rarely did.

"Hyung, are you ing kidding me?! All three of us right here are a hundred percent sure that Taemin-ah would go to you first.” He yelled as he pointed to himself and the two rappers. “It always has, and always will be! The boy looks up to you, he admires every single thing you do, wondering if he'll be able to be as caring and protective as you in the future! So ing stop this non-sense and realize that!" Jonghyun finished as he walked closer to the leader. The singer knew he had to cool down since he let out a tiny smidge of his anger but after a few seconds he calmly added a few more words.

"Hyung think about it, the others and I are as clueless as you are, if you really want to know why don't you find out yourself?” He ended. “Do you really not think I’m not doing that? I’ve been trying to approach him to get the answer myself, I’ve been listening to what you guys are saying. Still, I can’t get anything out of all of you!” Jinki snapped.

“Well, if you think you can’t get your answers verbally, why don’t you look around? Look at things as if they had some deeper meaning!” The singer spilled out.

Jonghyun knew Jinki was just a step closer to finding Taemin’s true feelings. He badly wanted to help the younger boy but he also want to help the elder equally.

Jinki would lie if he said he wasn’t shock from the younger's shouts towards him but he somehow he felt he deserved it.

"Well if you guys are as clueless as I am, wouldn’t you guy be trying to find out as well? So I don't see any reason as to why all you three shut up the moment I enter the room." With that the three stared at their leader trying to mask their faces so that none of them would get caught because they all knew that if Jinki finds out that the maknae had feelings towards him from any one of them, none of them would live life comfortably.

"See none of you three can answer because I'm right." Jinki turned around, heading to his room but stopped for a moment.

"I’m… I’m sorry” He paused knowing they weren’t the one to blame. “All I wanted to know for now was where Minnie is... why he's been so distant... why he doesn't trust in me anymore." Jinki sniffed, knowing he was beginning to tear up. “I just really miss him…” The leader had said it in a faint voice but the three still heard it. It all broke their hearts because they were now sure that Jinki had feelings for their maknae.

Taemin walked around Seoul wondering if he really did make a smart choice. For now, he knew it was smart. He knew what he was doing. He just worried about what his hyungs would think if they found out sooner.

He didn't want to go home just yet, he needed time away from the dorm and so called a good friend of his, Moonkyu. They hadn't seen each other for the longest time. So might as well get caught up with events that happened for the past few weeks.

He waited for the boy and he didn’t know if he should keep waiting or just ditch since the boy was taking so long. When Moonkyu finally arrived at where they planned to meet up, Taemin looked at his friend giving him a look to hurry up but of course the other purposely walked even slower.

"Who are you to make an idol wait, huh?" The singer joked. “Excuusee me, I was resting after a long day of training and work." The other joked back; the boy didn't really work much but he did train a lot. "Suure...  work. Yeah okay, let's go with that." The dancer replied with a silly grin on his face.

The other just faked a gasp as if he was really offended with what the idol said. "I am hurt but I can manage." Finally giving a bright smile.

They both joked around as they walked around the area until they stopped at a cafe near the SM building. They didn't bother with sitting at the back or hiding their faces. No one would bother them at this time anyway; many fans knew who Taemin's friend was, so it was not much of a big deal. They continued to joke around and later Taemin filled him on the events that happened in the dorm.

The boy’s eyes began to tear up and seeing this, Moonkyu immediately moved from his seat to the seat beside the boy, trying to comfort him in a hug.

"It's just so hard sometimes." Taemin whimpered. "I know, I know." Honestly, Moonkyu didn't know but what he could possibly say to the other to calm him down. He was sure that the others already said the words he was wanting to say.

"Taemin-ah" Taemin only hummed in return. "Do you really love him?" It was a stupid question to ask right now and it had the most obvious answer as well. "If I didn't then I wouldn't be here bawling my eyes out. I've loved him ever since I met him at that rooftop and both you and Jongin know that." He said as he pointed to the SM rooftop from inside the cafe.

Taemin couldn't help but stare at the building as well. He remembered the first few days when Jinki began teaching him his first vocal exercises. A small smile formed on his face as he recalled the days but soon he frowned again. "I'm hurting all because of that…” He continued to be held and dug his head into his friend’s jacket while looking at the building. “I’m hurting..." Taemin whimpered over and over again, now looking away from the place that used to make him happy.
