Yoon gazed out the window from the privacy of her room. Through the thin glass, the view overlooked the worn track which were now clustered with fallen leaves. From a distance, the leaves resembled small flames all hued in oranges, reds and yellows. She spied on the children who played down below, kicking a flaccid soccerball around. The Rogues here didn't focus too much on the materialistic things, only the neccesities. As she parted the curtains more to introduce more light into her room, she caught the mild reflection of herself.   Years has passed- nine to be exact. She couldn't even comprehend how long she had been in hiding. Not only had the seasons changed, but something had changed her. She had adapted naturally into the lifestyle of a Rogue, becoming more in touch with her inner animal. That wasn't the only change though. She no longer felt like a care-free little princess who roamed the castle grounds under the watchful eyes of her parents. No, she was different. Much worse. Although she spoke less now, most were fearful to exchange words with her. Her hair remained long and straight, reaching below her s and her eyes were as black as oblivion, and just as empty.   After that night where she encountered Jaseun, and his father- who happened to be a Noble, she never thought she could turn her back on her family and join forces with the Rogues. She wouldn't have thought a thing was possible, yet there she was residing along with the Rogues, living with them in their discreet hideout located in the trees.   Taking sharp strides to the main building hidden amongst the tree, she caught sight of Jaesun, and as usual he was entertaining one of the fellow Rogue girls. They immediately stopped their intimate activity, and Jaesun threw her a small, cheeky smile which casted a youthful glow along his soft features, “Have you come to join us?” He asked teasingly, slipping his shirt back on with a nochalant gaze in her direction.   Yoon perked a brow. “Where is Luhan?”   Jaesun appeared unaffected by her cold nature as he straightened his collar, “He’s out today.” He replied, slowly sitting up from the couch and pushing the half- girl from his body. He adjusted his brown strands and jumped onto his feet, giving the girl he was with a hasty kiss on the cheek and sending her away. The girl flushed, holding her discarded shirt to her chest and scrambling out the door.   Yoon raised an amused brow, “She’s probably the third girl of the week for you.”   Jaesun smirked, “And it will be the fourth if you join me.”    Yoon guffawed, “Fat chance chingu.”   “Oh come on.” Jaesun teased, rounding the couch with a swift steps and took hold off the loose lock of hair obscuring her eyes, “It’ll be fun.” He whispered, looking at her eyes with hope. That hope had been evident for many years now, and yet, the boy still refused to halt his pursual after Yoon.  She knew he was just playing. He saw her as a challenge thus the reason for his attitude.   “Did you hear the news?” Yoon lightly pulled away from Jaesun and strode into his father’s office. She heard Jaseun following her, “What news?” He asked.   Yoon entered the dark office, and switched the lamp on. Minimal light poured into the room and she leaned against the wall, crossing her arms. “The Royals have made a new law. Staring from tomorrow, Rogues must attend school. If not.....you know the drill.”   Jaseun grimaced at the thought, “No way are they going near my neck .” He covered his neck protectively.   “Good, but shall we abide by the law?” She asked seriously, looking at the tall but incredibly handsome boy who was almost a spitting image of his Noble father.    Jaesun’s face contorted into a pensive expression, “Since when have we ever considered the law?” He chuckled bitterly after a long minute of silence.   “But this is much different.” Yoon sighed, “The penalties of disregarding these new laws are detrimental. We mustn’t easily discard it.” She shifted her attention on the desk top. Luhan's desk was impeccably tidy with his folders chronologically organised into a neat pile and his pens gathered in a metal holder.   The room became quiet, and Yoon waited patiently for Jaesun to say something. If his father or mother were not present, he had the authority to make such decisions. Luhan was like the leader of the group, but in way, he was not. Rogues did not accept a leader, but they did accept Luhan to have a similar leading title so they wouldn’t be completely lost.    “There’s no choice than Yoon. We have to go if we don't want to be whipped. I like the way my face is thank you.”   Yoon was surprised by his rapid decision. Usually Jaesun would call his father and discuss the issue but he seemed to be fine finalising the choice himself. “We’ll inform the rest during dinner.” And like that, Jaseun strutted back outside the office.   Yoon grimly took the file from the desk, and scanned it. She read the contents that regarded the new decree within the Kingdom, and she felt something churn in her stomach. She had a bad feeling about attending the only school in the Kingdom.   She was sure she’d see her sister there.   She shook her head, and slapped the file back onto the desk. She closed her eyes, and thought back to the words Luhan had told her as a little girl.   ‘They killed ruthlessly. They are no better than we Rogues. Once you realise how deadly the Royal family is- Your family is, you’d wish you weren’t associated with them in any way.’   The words echoed repetitively in her head.
