My task: Write 25 oneshots by the end of 2015 and win 500 karma points.

The catch: Each one must use one of the 25 given prompts and a different band/members with no repeats.

Challenge Accepted but not completed!  ^_^

Since I do not yet know who I will be using in each prompt, I will leave the spaces blank for the time being and fill them in as I go along.  If you're familiar with my work, you've got a pretty good idea of who you'll be seeing throughout the collection *coughSuperJuniorShineeBAPf(x)2NE1DBSKetccough*.  While I can't feature members of the same group in separate oneshots, I can pull them in as side characters and we all know I have my favorites.  hehe  Let's see what happens!

1. Chapter 1: DBSK and BoA

   Title: Masked Man

   Prompt used: Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win. 

   Excerpt: “Don’t worry.  We’ll get him back.  You’ll see.”  That was what he told Boa while he held her in the borrowed safety of his arms when they found out.  She was normally so strong and composed, like nothing could touch her, but this did. 

2. Chapter 2: MyName

Title: Rainy Day Realizations

Prompt used: A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

Excerpt: ‘You’re killing yourself!’ Insoo snapped, his hands balled into fists at his side while he stood directly in front of Gunwoo.  In place of a normally soft expression, where a smile always tugged at the corners of his mouth, Insoo’s face was livid.  And afraid.

‘I know what I’m doing,’ Gunwoo snarled back, taking a step closer with his fist rising as if of its own accord.

3. Chapter 3: Ailee

Title: Rebirth

Prompt used: The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.

Excerpt: “An army approaches,” Yejin stated simply, wasting no time.

That startled all present and their anger shifted to uncertainty and nervousness; a demon, witch creature in the woods was one thing: an army another.  “Are you sure?” Elder Park asked with a critical gaze that swung around the group, the question meant for them more than for Yejin.

The side of quirked into a lopsided smile and she nodded.  “I flew above the trees to confirm.”  Her eyes fell upon those present, sliding from one side of the circle to the other calmly, though they reacted as expected: with signs against evil and murmured prayers or protection.  Whispers of ‘Demon,’ and ‘Witch,’ sprang from their lips and Yejin answered.  “Druid.”  A simple statement of fact with no doubt in her voice.

4. Chapter 4: Hyoyeon and Youngbae (SNSD and Big Bang)

Title: Love Lost, Love Found

Prompt used: One's first love is always perfect until one meets one's second love.

Excerpt: "Spent and drowsy, nestled under Youngbae’s chin and ensconced in the warm safety of his tender embrace, Hyoyeon didn’t think it could be possible to love someone more than she loved him."

5. Chapter 5: Teen Top

Title: Akin

Prompt used: Until we have seen someone's darkness, we don't really know who they are.  Until we have forgiven someone's darkness, we don't really know what love is.

Excerpt: “Okay.  If you’re not going to kill me or let me be killed…”  He shook his head at that, finding it incredibly strange.  “Then I might as well call you something other than… what you are,” he frowned, casting another uncertain look up.  It almost seemed as if the creature could understand him.  The thought unnerved Byunghyun and he shook his head before he nodded once.  “You can be Daniel.  I didn’t like him and I don’t like you,” he pointed back, glaring at their surroundings.

6. Chapter 6: U-Kiss

Title: The Strongest Among Us

Prompt used: Sometimes the strongest among us are the ones who smile through silent pain, cry behind closed doors, and fight battles nobody knows about.

Excerpt: "Even before the song tapered off, Kevin stood up and headed out, leaving Kiseop to follow in his wake and whispers at his passing.  “Damn,” Kyoungjae frowned, knowing he should follow them.  “I’m gonna go see if I can help,” he explained, turning to look at Soohyun and pausing when he saw the expression on the weapons master’s face: pain."

7. Chapter 7: BTS

Title: Genesis and Oblivion

Prompt used: I've seen fake gods and bad gods and demigods and would-be gods; out of all of that, out of that whole pantheon, if I believe in one thing... just one thing... I believe in her. 

Excerpt: "Seokjin sighed and seemed to shrink in on himself when the others crowded close to hear his answer.  He glanced up at the pearl though, and took strength from its illumination.  “You know the place we are in now,” he began, his hand still resting on his chest.  Slow, uncertain nods around the circle answered him and he continued, “We are in the beginning and the end of all places.  Genesis and Oblivion.  It connects all realms and separates all realms at the same time,” he explained, brow furrowed as he searched for the words."

8. Chapter 8: 2PM

Title: Sigil Sworn

Prompt used: You don't need a reason to help someone.

Exerpt: “Yeah!” the mob cried as the sand tracker prowled after its new prey: a young man who looked sorely out of place in the den of death and carnage.  Panic was plain on his sharp, angular face and his dark eyes darted around quickly as he searched for something to help him.  He was scrawny too.  Or maybe that was just the baggy shirt hanging from his frame, the white fabric at odds with his short, raven hair.  His lack of height didn’t help any either.  But he was quick and resourceful, as evidenced when the sand tracker leaped at him with the crowd’s approval.

9. Chapter 9: KAT-TUN and Miura Haruma

Title: Idiots All

Prompt used: When you're pushed, killing is as easy as breathing.

Excerpt: “Easy,” Haruma soothed, offering a steadying arm against the other man’s back.

“I got it,” the other snorted with the ghost of a smile pulling at the split lip.

“Obviously,” came the dry, bemused response.  “Do you remember what happened?  How did we get here?”

Kazuya raised a brow mostly hidden under his bangs and gave Haruma a side-eyed look.  “We fell off a cliff.”  Haruma frowned in confusion, not recalling that part.  “Eh.  More accurately, I was pushed – by Jin of course,” he added with a frustrated glower, “and we fell.”

That was the missing piece Haruma needed.  “Idiot,” he echoed the earlier sentiment, his mouth twisting into an expression of distaste.  “Always trying to play the hero.”

       10. Chapter 10: Boyfriend

Title: When He Loses Control

Prompt Used: The best place in the world is in the arms of someone who will not only hold you at your best, but will pick you up and hug you tight at your weakest moment.

Excerpt: “I killed a man tonight.”

A quiet sigh answered him.  Not disappointed.  Just sad.  “I thought you were on an infiltration run.”  It was a statement, not a question.

Jeongmin treated it like one anyway.  “I was.”  He wasn’t supposed to kill anyone.  He wasn’t even supposed to be seen for that matter.

“Tell me.”  It was a gentle request.
