CHAPTER 019: Theories And Awkward Lunches

       "What are you doing?"         "Moving," Kris replies. You want to laugh but you hold it in because Minseok is staring you down like a hawk from across the salon, right behind the counter.    Kris is doing some sort of ballerina move, where he puts his feet together and then bends his knees in a really weird position, more or less like a ballet student.    You have an idea on why he's doing it, and you get proven right the moment Kris opens his mouth to speak.        "I feel like I can do anything," he says, "The waxing sort of made me more light on my toes."   You roll your eyes and shake your head. It's kind of amusing to see Kris so dumb. He's acting like a toddler, moving around and doing different poses.         "He removed your pubic hair, not give you superpowers," you say.    Kris looks at you with a glint in his eyes, "Are you sure about that? I feel like I could kick your ."   Moments like this make you wonder Kris's actually age. Maybe 12? 14 max?       "So what? You just waxed your pubes and now you feel like you hold authority over me or something?" You say and you're already thinking into getting into position, just in case he does decide to attack you.    Except, you hope he doesn't. Because Minseok is still openly staring at you. He looks amused and slightly intrigued.          "Yes," Kris simply answers, "Who knew getting rid of your pubes would be this great."       "I bet you're reacting like this because the change was so great," you smirk, "Tell me, was it like a forest?"       "What was?" Kris frowns and doesn't stop doing ballerina stretches.   You laugh, "Down there, was it like a forest?"   Kris doesn't miss a beat, "My ?"   You are taken a back by such choice of words. You almost choke on air because it's so vulgar and you're at a public beauty salon. Not to mention, minseok is right in front of you guys and now he looks very surprised.       "You guys are weird," He says.        "Then don't listen, Minseok," Kris scoffs and makes sure to pronounce his name with a long and cold tone, "This is a conversation between bros, right Hana?"   You glare at him and don't even bother to answer. He's rude, isn't he?          "It seems like you don't like him," Minseok says and it's obviously directed at you. You feel so odd making eye contact with another person that isn't blood related to you or isn't Kris, for that matter.         "I mean, I don't hate him..." You say to him. Minseok feels extremely accomplished that you spoke to him. This is the first time he has heard you speak, not to mention, directly at him.    He is definitely going to tell the guys at school tomorrow. They're going to be speechless. And very jealous.        "That's flattering," Kris mumbles next to you. Then he turns to Minseok, "So why do you care so much?"   Minseok shifts on his feet, raised eyebrows and a curl on the corner of his lips, "About what?"         "About Hana. You seem to stare at her a lot."    You are sort of glad Kris says that because you want to know the answer, too. Only that you would have much rather stick to a more subtly way of asking minseok. You would have never dared to ask him so bluntly.   It seems that most people around you carry a trait of confidence and straightforwardness that you don't.    Kris is very blunt. So is Chanyeol, and even Eunsul. Actually, even your family carries such trait. Why is it that you are such a shy snail?           "Why do you stare at her so much?" Kris asks again, this time leaning against the counter. Minseok is behind the counter so it seems that Kris just did it to intimidate the boy. Why? You have no idea.    Minseok seems like a nice person. And Kris is just a palm tree with an attitude.         "Because she's pretty," Minseok says with a small laugh, "And interesting," he adds.    You stay still and just stare at him, even if your cheeks are blooming a slight pink.    The hue of color doesn't go unnoticed by neither of the two boys.    Minseok smiles and he feels beyond pleased at the way he's making you blush. Kris, on the other hand, rolls his eyes. He thinks that maybe you should learn how to contain your embarrassment so you'll stop blushing like a little girl. It's kind of annoying.   Mostly now that Minseok is looking at you with stars in his eyes.    Kris thinks, "The little pink haired monster named Minseok probably assumes that Hana has a crush on him because she blushed."         "Thank you," you say and you try to avoid eye contact and look at a tip jar in the counter instead. Minseok chuckles and he's still looking at you, wondering if this means you guys are friends or at least acquaintances.   Kris is looking back between you and him and he's kind of amused. What's up with people and you? Why do people stare at you like that? And why do you act like a shy potato? Why don't you like you do to him? Why do you seem so shy and fragile?   So many questions!            "Anyway," Kris says to shift the attention back to himself, "It seems like you have a thing for Hana, if I'm correct."   Minseok opens his mouth to speak but Kris continues, "But I'm telling you, She is a tough nut to crack. She's rude and serious all the time and super mean. It'll take you years-"         "I know," Minseok says, "She's Song Hana for a reason. "   You are taken a back by his words. Minseok thinks you're like that?   Well, you aren't but rumors prove other wise. The ice princess- stupid nickname and reputation that haunts you at school. This is the image he has of you.
