CHAPTER 013: Private School And Smiles

Lucy came back from her honeymoon trip sooner than expected.

You thought that once she was back, Kris would disappear from your sight forever. Reason why? Because Lucy and her husband would buy a house and take Nana and Kris with them.   Reason why that didn't happen? Because Lucy and Donhyuk wanted a customize brand new house not a used one.    So here you were with Kris sitting across from you in the dining table and Lucy next to you, reading a book.         "When is school starting again? Don't you have like two weeks before it starts?" Lucy asks and you are too busy painting your nails to look up at her and answer.    Kris shrugs, "Ask her," he points at you. He's using his phone, scrolling through his Instagram.    You look up at Lucy, "We have less than two weeks, actually."   Just then your mother comes in.        "That reminds me. Hana, I picked up your uniform at the shop yesterday and you need to go get the blazer yourself."    You nod at your mother's words but keep focusing on your nails. School is the last thing you want to think about.         "What about you, Kris? Did you already signed up for the private school?" Your mother asks and it's then that you suddenly feel kind of bummed that you're not gonna see the loser at school.   You're not sure why it upsets you a bit. Maybe because Kris keeps you oddly entertained. In school, you don't talk to people and maybe even fighting with Kris would satisfy your need to socialize at school.        "I don't know," Kris says, "Lucy was suppose to sign me up."        "I have been very busy," Lucy says, "I was planning on doing it today."        "Great then," The tall blonde says, "Now I don't have to worry about anything."        "What about your uniform and school materials?" You say from the sidelines.   Kris sends you a glare for some unknown reason and it's obvious that he's waiting for you to offend him or something along the lines.         "The private school he's going to doesn't have a uniform policy," Lucy mumbles as she goes back to her book.   You glare back at him, "Thats unfair."       "It is fair. And I have already bought the materials," Kris says, "Just a couple of journals, Some paper and pencils."       "Wow, you're prepared.." You say sarcastically.    Kris looks away from you to continue blabbing his mouth, "Going to a foreign school is so exciting to me. I wonder how many girls I'll date this year..."   You make a gagging sound from across the table, "You're a creep."       "Oh," Kris groans, "I'm the creep?"       "Yes, you are."         "Listen, ugly-"        "Lalalalalalalalalala! I can't hear you!"        "I command you to uncover your ears immediately and listen to me!"         "Still can't hear you!"        "You guys are so immature.." Your mom mutters from the sideline.         "I'm not immature," you uncover your ears and turn to your mom, "Kris is the one who always starts something and takes everything I say to the heart."         "No I don't! You're the one that takes everything too far!"        "Okay, calm down!" Lucy interferes and pushes you both back to sit since you both stood up in defense.         "First of all, you both are immature and secondly, Kris, you got it all wrong."   Kris frowns and so do you.         "What do you mean?" Kris asks, "what did I get wrong?"        "Your private school has no girls."   After those words come out from Lucy's mouth you begin laughing like your life depended on it.    Kris is completely oblivious and confuse so you refresh it for him.         "Oh god, you idiot! Don't you understand, it's all boys school!"   Kris freezes and then he groans, "You're kidding!"   Lucy shakes her head, "I'm serious. I thought you knew that."        "Well, I didn't..." He says with the saddest expression possible.         "Oh, come on!" Lucy says, "It's not so bad, anyway. I thought you would like it. Didn't you want to focus on studying the culture and also basketball?"   Kris pouts, "Yeah but if I spend a whole year with no girls I might go crazy AND HANA WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP LAUGHING!"        "I'm sorry! I can't!" You choke on your own breath and damn, your ribs hurt.         "I don't want to go to an all boys school. I want girls In my environment!" He says.   Lucy laughs, "Well, I'm sorry... I'm doing the paperwork today so there's nothing I can do."   You sit down, taking deep breaths as you laugh and trying to ignore the icy glares Kris is sending you.   Your mom send you a demanding mom glare, the one that tells you to shut up and behave but you keep wheezing, trying to stop laughing but it's not working.          "Oh my god! Why is this-" a breath, "So funny!"        "It's not funny..." Kris hisses.         "It's just that you thought you were gonna be surrounded by beautiful girls but instead- oh god! It's hilarious!"        "Oh, come on!" Lucy interrupts, "it's not as bad as it seems. You'll see girls.."         "No, I won't. It's an all boys school," Kris glares at his older sister.   You stop laughing and concentrate on your breathing exercises.          "But you'll see Hana until we move out so basically you will be able to see A GIRL during the day," Lucy adds.    Kris snorts like a pig and you place a hand on your chest, faking offense.        "Well, for your information, I don't want to see your face either, Fanfan."        "Don't call me that," he says.   You snort, "Since when do you think I'll listen to you."        "Hey!" Your mom suddenly interrupts, "Why don't you just send Kris to the same school as Hana? It's a good school and it's obviously Co-Ed so you'll love it."   Kris groans, "But I don't want to see Hana during my school hours AND at home! That's like you all punching me in the face 24/7."   You glare at him and he glares back.        "Even better. That way you two can learn to get along," Lucy says.        "That's a horrible idea," Kris says and you nod in agreement, "It really is."       "I think it's a great idea," Your mom interferes.         "Great then!" Lucy smiles, "Kris are you in? Either all boys school or Hana."   Kris shrugs and you stand up in a bit of panic.        "If you go to my school, Wu," you say, "You're going to ruin my whole school year!"   Kris smiles at this and then looks at Lucy, "I want to go to Hana's school."   You freeze and glare at him but then turn around and stomp to your room like an angry and rebellious teenager, groaning all the way even when you hear Kris's evil laugh from downstairs as you climb the staircase.    When you enter your room, you start to think and a surprising smile blooms on your lips.   Kris is going to your school? Why does that make you feel better in a way? But then again, with him there, it truly might be a horrible year.          **********************           "Go with him."        "Mooooommmmm~"       "I won't repeat myself. Go with him, Song Hana."       "But Mom!"        "If you don't go, I'll take away your phone for the whole year."       "Fine! Take it away! I don't need it, anyway."        "Fine but I'm not letting you go out ever again!"        "Cool, I don't have friends anyway so-"        "What about Chanyeol? You and him-"        "And I'm up," you say, standing from the couch.    Kris eyes you closely from the door. He's eyes narrow as you approach him after putting on your shoes, a pair of old converse.   Your mom turns off the TV you were watching and smiles as you two exit the house.         "Works every time," She mumbles to herself.        *********************          "Why do you get so riled up when that Chanyeol guy is mentioned?" Kris asks in a stop light.        "Why do you care? Focus on the ro

Chapter 34: Started to read this story yesterday, must admit that it affected my night. Had a hard time sleeping, couldn't stop reading. You are a painter with words, just as in the story about April. Love your way to describe people, you make it possible to me to visualize everyone, even Nana and Papa. You are a great writer, keep up the good work.

Chapter 33: I could sing praises to Hana for how mature and calm she approached this subject with chanyeol. Let's be honest, this is HOW we wanted to act when we're in this kind of situation. Literally an ideal one. Hana you're amazing. I love her character.
