I might have come to this place before—a room that almost always bright with its dreary chillness. 'Where am I' was a question I couldn't afford to voice out. I had no recollection of this place and yet it gave out vibes of familirities that strangely relatable. To make myself calmer, I squeezed my eyes desperately. I just couldn't wrap my mind around it.
The influx of emotions had caused a scream welling up in my throat. Then, an image flung in front of my mind’s eye – the crescent dark eyes of hers blankly stared at me—happy...hurt, I couldn't tell. Never in all my eighteen years, had I ever felt so bewildered.
It felt like just yesterday when we were giggling side by side underneath the serene skies but when I turned, that place of hers was empty. I bit my lips hard to hold the tears that threatened to fall with every blink.
