Hm, honestly it's too short for me to say anything? I believe it's called a drabble instead of a one-shot.
I'm not a native speaker so I don't know about grammar and stuff but I think you're good, I have no problem reading it, and again it's too short for me to decide about your writing style, but so far it's comfortable to read. You should consider writing more c:
