Ring-ring, the grand bell clangs high above the chapel. All around are civilians standing to watch the parade. There is no expense spared in the group of performers dancing around and playing their music of drums, cymbals, and everything that represents the joyous fanfare. Confetti is falling from the rooftops and the most regal of white horses armored in gold pull upon the royal carriage carrying the bride and groom-to-be. With her radiant smile, Hyosung in her long bridal gown that is ethereally white and adorned with silver and gold and dyed-white peacock feathers. She takes special notice to the youngest civilians, children who are running by the horses and the performers cheerfully, waving to them and all the others as well. For once, the usually stoic Lord Myungsoo is wearing a beautifully crafted white armor with gold accents, his dark hair and pale skin contrasting sharply to the bright armor. Nonetheless, he is handsome and charming with his smile that rarely appears as he waves to everyone. Why would anyone be anything other than happy on such an occassion as to a royal wedding where everyone of every class is invited to the wedding and even a glorious banquet following?

   They both know that this is their duty. He smiles, she smiles. Love is powerful and can be shown to the public well. The marriage is for their nations' unity and peace. Hyosung may not be able to capture the young lord's heart when it already belongs to the duke that is a respectable and intelligent man, but there is always that knowing glint in the lord's eyes that make her believe that anyone can fall in love twice. She might have to sacrifice her own heart for her people, for her nation and his, but as long as he stays by her side, she just might be able to survive.
