Description
Park Ryu Min wanted it. Sure, it was risky. She could get arrested and go to jail. There were also chances of her getting murdered at any point of time. Even so, Ryu Min didn't care. She loved the thrill. She loved how she was able to do something many girls at her age wouldn't even have the slightest thought of doing. Ryu Min wasn't the kind of girl to throw away an opportunity she knew she wouldn't get twice. If people were to know what she did, who she was, they'd think she's crazy. They'd think she's irrational. Oh contrary, she was perfectly sane and she did weigh the pros and cons more than enough times.
Park Ryu Min was different.
She wanted to be a mafia's leader.
Foreword
"You didn't need to beat that guy up," Ryu said as she entered her home, no longer able to withstand the dawning silence between her and her brother, Jae Bum. Hearing that, the elder scoffed, closing the door behind him.
"He was taunting you, of course I had to teach him a lesson. No one messes with my little sister," Jae retorted. Ryu let out a small chuckle, adoring her brother's protective side.
"I could've handled him on my own, you know," Ryu pointedly said, causing Jae to raise his brow as he looked at her, amused.
"Don't be silly, Ryu."
"Jae, I'm serious. From now on, let me handle these kind of things on my own. I love the fact that you're really protective of me but really, you need to trust that I can look after myself." Jae took a moment to process her words - such a side of her was so very unfamiliar. He scanned her face, unsure if he should dismiss her words or take her seriously yet her stoic expression remained.
"And how are you going to handle them?" Jae asked, curious by her sudden change in demeanor. He expected some sort of an explanation or a plan but her response was neither of the two.
"Hit me."
"What?" Jae said, certain Ryu had finally lost her mind.
"I said, hit me," Ryu repeated firmly.
"Why on earth would I want to do that?"
"Just hit me," Ryu urged him on yet Jae continued to stare at her with a questioning look on his face, earning a scowl from her.
"Oh for heaven's sake Jae, hit me." Ryu raising her voice out of nowhere surprised him and as a reflex, Jae swung his fist towards her, Ryu caught it with her hand, inches away from her face. Pinning his arm behind his back, Ryu earned a groan from Jae. Kicking the back of his knee, Jae fell to the ground as Ryu pinned him down. Ryu waited for a few seconds before releasing him and once she did, Jae let out a loud sigh of relief.
"Where the heck did you learn that?" Jae questioned as he rubbed his arm.
"Well, do you remember Kim Soo Hyun?" Ryu asked.
"Isn't he one of late Appa's men?"
Ryu nodded. "He's been training me for the past three years."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Jae asked warily as he stood up.
"Well big brother," Ryu paused and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm going to be a mafia's leader."
A long silence filled the house as Jae stared at his little sister, his eyes widening by the second.
"Are you crazy?!"
