Description
The hill crested gently, practically parallel with the sighing waves that gilded the horizon-line. The dry heat of summer was slowly winding to a close, the heavily golden fruits of autumn hanging off gnarled branches like lanterns, weighing down the air. The world was preparing for a long-awaited sleep, settling in resignedly to the faded mist of twilight. The end of a grand age.
The wind, however still danced and raced with itself as it always had, until it encountered a huddled mass of weathered panes of glass and brick; a house, still occupied, a silent observer of the tired earth. Small tendrils of air wound around the building, catching on a single piece of paper taped to the front, which crinkled in protest at the unwanted man-handling.

Hello again everyone :)
SO this was supposed to be for a contest, but guess who missed that deadline xD
I'm a pretty big fan of EXO, but I haven't written anything about them yet, mainly because I haven't written anything at all recently ^^' But it's happening now, so that's good, I guess?
I'm about halfway through this, but I'm up at school so there's no guarantee when I'll finish it. But if you're interested, stick around because I am actually going to post this.
As implied by the story's horridly unoriginal name, this is inspired by the manga Yokohama Shopping Log, which can be read on MangaReader and other sites of that nature. I like it because it feels similar to Catcher in the Rye in the sense that nothing much happens in terms of action, but it has an incredible sense of nostalgia and great underlying context. If you're good at remembering seemingly meaningless details, this is the manga for you.
Written also because my baby brother starts high school next year and OH MY SWEET CORN I AM NOT READY. Where did the time go, seriously? TT.TT
