Chapter 3: Too Deep to Let Go Now

[JaeHyo’s POV]

I patted Byungmi’s head as she cried in my arms and looked at her softly. It was at times like this where I hated myself so much.

Every time this kind of things happened, I wanted so much to tell her the truth. The truth about her past. But, I just couldn’t bring myself to it.

The first time she started asking about her past was three months after the incident and at that time, I had been to blinded by the hatred that I lied about her past, saying I had no idea who she was and Block B just happened to pass by when she got knocked down by the car.

Of course, the orders from Infinite Hyungs to keep her identity hidden played a part too. But, mostly the decision had been made by me.

As months flew by, I started falling for her and soon, we became a couple.

And, that was when everything changed.

Her smiles, her laughter, her hugs, her kisses, her everything.

I had fallen way too deep to let go now.

I was scared of the outcome if I had told her the truth.

I knew she was going to leave me if she found out about the truth, because if you minus away the fact that I saved her life, I was nothing but the bad guy.

Why would an angel like her still want to be with me when she could be with the good people?

If I told her the truth and she decided to leave, there’s was nothing I could do to hold her back.

I saved her life but kept her from her real life.

 I owned her even more than she owns me.

There was nothing I could do except continuing to keep the secret, hoping that she wouldn’t find out about anything.

But, oh Jaehyo, keeping secrets from your girlfriend always leads to worse stuff, look what happened to CNU when he did that.
