“Here,” Hyuk smiled slightly as he handed over the deer meat to the young werewolf boy in front of him.

Slowly, the child took the offered meat, consuming it so quickly that Hyuk worried he might choke.

“Chew your food,” Ken teased the child, reaching out and handing the little boy another piece of meat, “it’s not going to get up and run away. Enjoy it.”

“A-Alright,” the boy nodded and this time he chewed the meat slowly.

“You’re pack,” Hyuk said slowly, carefully so that he didn’t accidently upset of scare the child, “they’re gone?”

“Yes,” the boy looked down sadly, ashamed, “they called me a cursed child and through me out. Then they moved away.”

“Stupid old myths and laws,” Hyuk scoffed before he returned his attention to the child, “What’s your name?”

“BamBam,” the little boy said.

“It’s nice to meet you, BamBam,” Ken smiled, “my name is Ken and this is my mate, Hyuk.”

“It’s nice to meet you,” BamBam gave them a small, hesitant smile.

Hyuk silently watched Ken interacting with the young werewolf and a small, knowing smile appearing on his face. He knew that Ken wanted children – he’d said as much shortly after they first started to get to know each other – but since neither had to correct parts they couldn’t produce any. Now here was BamBam. Ken was already smitten with the boy and Hyuk could tell by the little glances Ken kept giving him that he wanted to take BamBam in.

“BamBam,” Hyuk spoke up, “would you like to come with us?”

“What?” the boy looked at Hyuk, clearly confused, “Why? Why would you want me?”

“Ken likes you,” Hyuk shrugged, “and I know that you’ll grow up to be a great werewolf. That is, with the right mentoring you will be great.”

“But I’m cursed!” BamBam shook his head, “Why would you want a cursed wolf in your pack?”

“I don’t believe in curses,” Ken smiled, holding a hand out to the boy, “so, will you come with us?”

BamBam paused for a moment before taking Ken’s hand. Hyuk simply smiled from the side lines before pulling out some more food for the boy.

A/N: aww, poor BamBam. But now he’s got the HyuKen couple to be his family.
