Hyuk growled as he stared down the vampire who had turned him. The old vampire raised an eyebrow, as if he was honestly confused as to why Hyuk would be there.
“You destroyed my life,” Hyuk hissed when the silence became too great, “you turned me into this.”
“Ah,” the vampire nodded, “well if that is your problem, take comfort in the fact that I intended to kill you. I never wanted you to become like myself.”
“That makes it better?” Hyuk laughed, “You really think that will fix anything?”
“No,” the vampire shrugged, “but I really could not care any less about what has become of you, boy. So long as your lover has suffered, I am happy.”
“You son of a ,” Hyuk growled through clenched teeth, “What problem do you have with Ravi?”
“He brought a human into our world,” the vampire shrugged, “he put all of our kind as risk. And for what? Love? There was a time when such actions would see him killed, but now the vampire council wants those like him to simply suffer.”
“Council?” Hyuk frowned. He knew of no such group. N didn’t seem to know of them either since he had never mentioned them.
“You are still such a fool, boy,” the vampire laughed, “but I could tell that from the moment you came here. Did you really think that you could fight against me and win?”
“We haven’t even started,” Hyuk smirked, “how do you know I’ll fail?”
Suddenly, the vampire vanished. Hyuk looked around trying to find him, but was too slow to see the punch coming. The enemy vampire kept punching and kicking Hyuk until the poor boy was lying on the floor in a crumpled heap. Hyuk whimpered as pain filled his mind radiating from every inch of his body. He felt sick and broken, like he had been run over and had his insides squished into nothingness.
“I will take pity on you this once, boy,” the vampire sighed, “drag your pathetic hide back to your home and never bother me again. If you do, I will see to it to finish what I started in that apartment.”
The vampire left Hyuk there on the pavement of the back alley. The younger was honestly grateful that his life had been spared, he knew that the vampire could just as easily of killed him. He might have become a bit of a fool since being turned, but he wasn’t fool enough to still think he had a chance to win against that man – that he would ever have a chance of beating the vampire who turned him.
He just……wanted to go home. He wanted to be with Ravi even though he didn’t remember much about the one he had once loved. But he wasn’t sure if Ravi would allow him to return. He had done a lot of horrible things since being turned and Ravi had made his disdain for those actions – for him – very clear. If he returned, it was very likely that Ravi would just throw him back out. The older vampire might have even moved away while he was gone, seized the opportunity to be rid of Hyuk once and for all.
“This is their fault,” Hyuk muttered, curling up into a ball as best he could without his body screaming in pain, “This council started all of this. Why couldn’t they have just left us alone? Then we would be happy.” Hyuk pulled his ring, the one Ravi had given him, out of his pocket and held it close to his heart.
Hyuk finally gave into the pain and passed out. His grip on the ring never loosened and that was how Ravi found him. The older vampire scowled when he saw the state of the younger and made short work of bringing him home. As he made his way home, Ravi promised that he would end the life of whomever it was that had caused the one he loved such pain.
