Ken bit back the growl slowly bubbling up in his throat. It wouldn’t do to get angry, it would just prove to his pack that he had gotten to close to a rouge. Well, it would prove to the pack elders and his family. N, Leo, Ravi, and Hongbin already knew just how close he’d become with Hyuk. They approved of the relationship, the rest of the pack wouldn’t.

“Just calm down,” N said, patting Ken’s head, “they’re just going to observe you for a few days. Once that’s over you can go out like normal.”

“It’s just so,” Ken paused, trying to figure out the right words.

“Annoying?” Hongbin supplied.

“Yeah,” Ken nodded, “how is being friends with Hyuk a bad thing?”

“The old pack laws say it is,” N shrugged, “so there must have been a reason for it. It’s just that the reason no longer applies.”

“I miss him already,” Ken sighed, stretching out on his bed, “I promised Hyukkie that I’d come see him in a couple of days. What’s he going to think when I don’t come?”

“That’s why Ravi snuck out,” N smiled a little, “to tell him what’s going on.”

“Hyuk isn’t going to like it,” Ken frowned, “he’ll think that he’s getting me into trouble.”

“He probably knows that already,” Leo spoke up, “he was part of a pack once, too. He knows the old laws just as well as any of us.”

Ken let out a small sigh before curling up in a ball. He wanted to see Hyuk, to just be around him. He needed to be around Hyuk or he felt……..a lot of negative emotions like sadness and unease. But thanks to his stupid pack elders and family, he couldn’t be with the one he loved. They would never let him be with Hyuk and that…….

Ken wondered if he should just leave the pack and run away to join Hyuk. They could make a pack of their own or they could just live together happily with Hyuk’s family. It would be so much better than life in his pack, mostly because then he could be with Hyuk as much as he wanted without anyone telling him ‘no.’

But his pack would never let him just run away like that. He knew that they would chase him down and drag him back. So he had to think of something else, some other way to get away and be with Hyuk.

A/N: awww, poor Ken. He just wants to be with Hyukkie, where’s the harm in that? part 6 of the HyuKen werewolf AU. Almost didn't think i was going to be able to get this and theme 68 out. i spent a good chunk of my morning in the hospital for an ear infection (it hurts soo much, even with the pain killers) and then driving around to find a freakin' pharmacy that was opened (because everything is closed today on account of it being Thanksgiving here in the great white north) so i could actually get the medication the doctor said to get. anyway, hope you guys like the new themes!
