Hyuk let out a small, surprised yelp as Ravi pulled him back. Moments later, a large hunk of metal crashed down exactly where Hyuk had been standing. Hyuk flashed Ravi a grateful look, holding his child closer to his chest as if that would keep his baby safer.

“They sure do love y-traps, don’t they?” Ken observed from behind the pair where he and N stood, helping carry the unconscious Leo out.

Hyuk was torn between being grateful that Leo was out cold and wishing that his mate could be awake. Ever since they’d been recaptured, Leo had changed. They had done something to him, something that left Leo sitting silently in the corner of his cell. Sometimes, Leo would start to cry and whenever Hyuk tried to comfort him he would start to yell horrible things at Hyuk and left him feeling……stunned. Stunned and hurt.

“They want to keep us here,” Ravi frowned, “for good this time.”

“When we get out of here,” Hongbin spoke up, “I vote we go into hiding. For at least a couple of years, maybe longer.”

“I second that,” N nodded, side stepping another trap which would have seen a stake through his heart had he not noticed it was there, “we need time to recover and heal.”

“Revenge can come later,” Ravi agreed only for Hyuk to hush him.

“No more revenge,” Hyuk said, “that’s what got us into this mess.”

“Hyuk is right,” N nodded, “if we try taking revenge again, this will happen again too. But if we just fade into the shadows, they’ll never be able to find us.”

“Fine,” Ravi nodded, pretending to agree with the others. In reality, he still planned to take revenge on those who dared to hurt them. What they had done could never be forgiven or forgotten. If Ravi had to wait a few years before starting his revenge, so be it. It would lull the enemy into a false sence of security before he killed him. It would be his own little trap.

“We have to move faster,” Ken advised, “I think I heard the alarm going off.”

“They must have found that witch’s body,” N frowned slightly, “darn, I thought I’d done a better job of hiding it.”

“Keep walking,” Ravi said, taking the baby from Hyuk when he noticed the younger struggling a little to carry the babe and keep an eye out for any traps along the way. There was no way he was going to take any risk when it came to Hyuk’s safety or the safety of the baby.

“Soon,” Hongbin said, patting Hyuk’s shoulder when he noticed the younger glancing back at Leo, “We’ll be out of here soon. Then we can figure out what’s wrong with Leo and fix it.”

“Alright,” Hyuk nodded before moving closer to Ravi and his child.

The group kept moving, silently wishing that they would be able to escape without anyone falling into a trap or being captured. Once outside, the group took off, black wings spread wide, with the hope of never again returning to the horrible place that was the source of so much sadness and pain for each of them.
