Hyuk watched with amusement as Ravi rushed around the kitchen, trying to make sure that everything was perfect. Honestly, the younger didn’t know why the elder was putting so much work into this little movie night. It wasn’t like he was inviting anyone special over, just a couple of his friends. Like Hongbin from work. All of Ravi’s friends had been over to the apartment before, they had seen everything before.

“Ow!” Ravi suddenly yelped, dropping the hot pot of water in his hands. The boiling water hit the floor as well as his feet, drawing out another pained yell.

“Ravi!” Hyuk rushed over, lifting Ravi up and out of the puddle.

Hyuk set Ravi down on the couch in the living room before grabbing a dry towel and a bag of ice. Returning to Ravi’s side, he carefully dried the older man’s feet and handed over the ice so that Ravi could put it on his burned hand.

“Dang it,” Ravi hissed, “That hurts.”

“It’s a burn,” Hyuk rolled his eyes, “those tend to hurt.”

“Shut up,” Ravi huffed, looking away so that he could hide the embarrassed blush on his face.

“You aren’t that great at multitasking,” Hyuk frowned slightly, looking from Ravi’s feet to his hand to his face, “you could have really hurt yourself.”

“I know,” Ravi looked down, “I’m sorry for making you worry.”

“I wasn’t that worried,” Hyuk muttered, scowling slightly as he looked anywhere but at Ravi, “just mildly concerned.”

“Yeah,” Ravi nodded, a small smile forming on his face, “sure.”

It was kind of cute how Hyuk liked to deny how much he cared about Ravi. Honestly, it just made it even clearer to the older that Hyuk really did like him, that he wasn’t just some guy Hyuk decided to live with until he could get a place of his own. Hyuk’s concern didn’t necessarily mean that the younger like-liked him, but……just knowing that he cared was enough for Ravi.
