Leo watched with Hyuk wonder around the kitchen, a soft smile on his face. Who would have ever thought that he would ever be this happy? Who would have ever thought he would find a mate and be starting a family with that mate? He sure hadn’t entertained such thoughts. But there he was, watching his very pregnant mate moving about their kitchen and he was happier than he could ever recall being in his life.

“You’re smiling,” Hyuk grinned slightly.

“I know,” Leo nodded.

“You’ve been doing that a lot lately,” voiced N from the other side of the kitchen, “it makes me so happy to see my oldest son so happy.” The leader started to sob dramatically and the other two rolled their eyes.

“Please stop with that,” Ravi sighed, throwing his empty blood bag at the older, “it’s annoying.” The leader let out a small cry before chopping Ravi’s neck and scolding him.

“He has a point,” Hyuk said, turning to face Leo, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so happy.”

“That isn’t saying much,” Ken laughed, “you didn’t know him before we were captured and those, like, three or four years we spent in those cages would make even the happiest person in the world frown and cry.”

“Not the point,” N scolded, lightly smacking the back of Ken’s head.

“I am happy,” Leo said, moving over to Hyuk and wrapping his arms around him, “I have you and our child.”

“You know,” Hongbin said as he entered the kitchen, “not that I’m not happy for you guys, but the fact that Hyuk can ever get pregnant in the first place is just……it shows just how messed up those who experimented on us were.”

“He does have a point,” Hyuk looked down slightly, “it makes me worried.”

“Why?” Leo frowned at hearing Hyuk’s sad tone of voice.

“What other things did they do to me?” Hyuk explained, “will what they did hurt our baby?”

“I promise,” Leo said, pressing a kiss against Hyuk’s cheek, “nothing will ever hurt our baby. He or she will grow up happy and healthy. And we’ll give them a bunch of siblings.”

“Sounds like you two are going to go off and create your own family,” N started to tear up for real this time.

“We already created a family,” Hyuk smiled at the oldest, “you guys. We’re just making additions.”

“Hyukkie,” N let out a small sob before rushing over to hug the youngest.

Leo smiled slightly as he watched the exchange. He thought over Hyuk’s words and decided that he completely agreed. Originally, he’d thought that he and Hyuk had started creating their family with the creation of their (hopefully first) child, but actually they had created their family years ago.
