VIXX 300 Theme ChallengeTitle: Expectation Pairing: Rahyuk Related Chapter: none Word Count: 481
Ravi had expected the night to go so much better. He’d spent weeks planning everything out and making sure that everything would go the way that he wanted it to go. He probably should have just skipped all of that work because he’d gotten pretty much nothing out of it. He couldn’t even say that he’d gotten time alone with Hyuk because Hongbin ended up coming home early with Ken who’d gotten sick.
Ravi’s plan was to have a peaceful dinner alone with Hyuk. Nothing too big or romantic, just sweet and simple. After they had finished eating, Ravi had planned for them to watch a couple of Hyuk’s favorite movies before confessing his feelings for the younger. Ravi was pretty darn confident that Hyuk would accept him feelings and they would kiss and everything would be perfect.
Instead, dinner had been him, Hyuk, and Hongbin and the two youngest had ended up watching some drama together. After that, the pair had decided to watch an episode of Hitmaker that as saved on the PVR. It wasn’t long before Hyuk started talking about how cool Jackson was, earning him teasing comments about crushing on the other from Hongbin. That was it, Ravi retreated to the room he shared with the maknae to sulk.
“Hyung?” Hyuk called, knocking on the door once before entering the room, “are you alright?”
“Fine,” Ravi muttered, not even looking up from the pillow that he had buried his face in.
“No you aren’t,” Hyuk frowned, sitting down beside the rapper, “please tell me what’s wrong.”
“Nothing,” Ravi replied, still refusing to look at the younger.
With a sigh, Hyuk climbed on top of Ravi and rested his head between Ravi’s shoulder blades. He wanted to know what was wrong with the other and it hurt him that Ravi wasn’t telling him. The older normally told him everything, so it put him a little off balance when the older refused to say anything.
“Please tell me, hyung,” Hyuk whispered, just loud enough for Ravi to hear, “Please.”
“I’m fine, Hyukkie,” Ravi sighed, “it’s just that, well, this night didn’t go as I expected.”
“What did you expect?” Hyuk replied, shifting so that his chin was resting on Ravi’s shoulder.
“I thought it would be just us,” Ravi admitted, “We’d eat, watch some of your favorite movies, and it would be fine.”
“But instead Hongbin hyung and Ken hyung came home,” Hyuk finished, “why did that change things so much?”
“I wanted to confess to you,” Ravi finally admitted.
“Oh?” Hyuk felt himself smile, “is that all? Well, you can still do that, hyung?”
“Huh?” Ravi finally looked up from his pillow, turning his head slightly so that he could look at Hyuk’s face.
“I love you, too,” Hyuk grinned before pressing a kiss to Ravi’s cheek.
Ravi just smiled, beyond over the moon at hearing Hyuk’s confession.
A/N: whelp, I like it. I really like it. Hope you all do too!
