It hurt so damn much. Love hurt so damn much. it wasn’t fair. It would never be fair.

Why did he have to fall for his straight hyung?

Ken was perfect and fun and loving and everything Hyuk had ever wanted in a guy. Except for this one thing. The biggest, most important thing. Ken liked girls. Not boys. Never boys.

It hurt so much. It killed Hyuk’s heart every day when he woke up and realized he still loved Ken just as much as he had the day before. He wanted the love he felt to fade away, for his heart to move on to someone he could actually have a chance with.

But his heart didn’t want to move on like his brain did. Hyuk wondered if his heart was a masochist, if it enjoyed the pain loving Ken created. Or maybe it was just addicted to the moments where Ken would smile at him, the small moments where Hyuk could pretend everything was alright and his heart wasn’t slowly dying.

“Hyukkie,” Ken sighed from the other side of the room, pain filling his heart as he took in the other’s pained expression.

Hyuk always looked so sad now, so pained and heartbroken. Ken couldn’t understand what had happened to make the other look like that, but he wanted to fix it. He hated seeing his beloved maknae in pain.

He just didn’t know now.

A/N: awww, poor Hyukkie. Pains me to write him in any kind of pain (that’s the Hyuk bias talking haha)
