“Dang it,” Hakyeon scowled, “I swear I’ve seen this tree ten times already.”

He couldn’t believe how lost he had become. He really hadn’t thought that Wonsik was serious about the woods being so easy to get lost in. And yet, here he was. Lost.

“Should have listened to your friend.”

Hakyeon turned around to find a young man with purple hair standing before him, arms crossed and a teasing smirk on his face.

“Who are you?” Hakyeon questioned, positive that no one had been there before.

“Name’s Hyuk,” the man shrugged, “you’re Hakyeon, right?”

“How do you know my name?” Hakyeon scowled, backing away from the stranger slightly.

“Your friends have been calling it for the past hour,” Hyuk shrugged again, “kind of hard not to figure out that you’re the guy they’re looking for.”

“Oh.”

“Come on,” Hyuk said, holding a hand out for Hakyeon to take, “I’ll show you the way to ‘em.”

“Thank you,” Hakyeon hung his head, taking the other’s hand and following silently.

“Here we are,” Hyuk said a few minutes later when the pair arrived at the edge of the parking lot, “I trust you can find your friends from here.”

“Thank you,” Hakyeon grinned, “thank you so much.”

Hyuk just waved him off before heading back into the forest.

“Where are you going? Aren’t you going to head to your car?” Hakyeon asked, pointing towards the cars.

“Nah,” Hyuk replied, “don’t have one. I live here.”

Hakyeon was about to ask what Hyuk meant when he noticed Hyuk’s ears.

“See ya around, Hakyeon,” Hyuk waved, walking farther into the woods, “but next time, don’t get lost. I’m not the only nymph around here, just the only one who’s willing to help lost travelers.”

Hyuk vanished with those words, leaving Hakyeon standing there stunned.

“Hakyeon!” he heard Wonsik yell, heard the other’s feet hitting the ground as he made his way over, “are you alright?”

“I’m fine,” Hakyeon smiled after a moment.

“Good,” Wonsik sighed, clearly relieved that the other was alright, “next week, we’ll do what you want. We’ll stay in the city.”

“Actually,” Hakyeon glanced at the forest, “I was thinking......maybe we could come back next weekend.”

A/N: yeah, yet another story that will get a full version. Was a bit stuck on what to do with this theme at first, but then........this idea was soooooooo good.
