“Pie?” Kris asked, not waiting for Hyuk to reply before cutting a piece for himself.

“No, thanks,” Hyuk replied, trying to kill his nerves. If Kris picked up on them.........well, it wouldn’t be good.

“Too bad,” Kris shrugged, “it’s good.”

“Can we just talk about why you wanted to see me?” Hyuk asked, silently hoping that Kris didn’t find his wording offensive.

“Sure,” Kris smiled, “I wanted to see if you’re interested in working for me. I can pay much better than your current job. Enough to get you a nice place for you and your little boyfriend.”

“Tempting,” Hyuk replied, “But I don’t think I’d be any good. I haven’t had anything to do with illegal activities since I got out and even then I’ve only ever done small time stuff. I’d be a liability to whatever you’ve got planned.”

“Hmm,” Kris frowned, “my second in command thought the same thing. He was right, but I though I would at least offer. You’re a good guy, Sanghyuk. Trust worthy. That’s something I’m in search of. Shame I can’t have you.”

“Yeah,” Hyuk said, making sure he looked regretful, “I don’t want to be a weak link and get you into trouble.”

“Well,” Kris shrugged, “I wish you the best.”

“Same to you.”

“If you ever reconsider,” Kris called as Hyuk started to leave, “you know where to find me. And I know where to find you if I decide I can’t take no for an answer.”

Hyuk nodded before leaving and heading home to Ravi.

A/N: and this will be the final part of the Rahyuk homeless AU. Well, until I throw everything into a full story. Then THAT will be the final instalment of the AU. It might take a little bit before the full story is up (another of my stories ‘Trusting Demons’ is wrapping up so about 60% of my focus is on that), but I’ll tell you guys as soon as it’s done.
