N knew he wasn’t the only idol who read the fanfiction that fan wrote about him and his group members, but that didn’t mean he was about to share that kind of information with anyone. Least of all s. He knew that they’d ask what stories h was reading and he really couldn’t tell them that. If he didn’t tell them, then they’d go snooping trying to find out.

If they ever found out that he read Chasang fics, had any he could find saved, they’d never look at him the same way. Hyuk would probably never talk to him either and that killed him.

“Hyung,” Hyuk called suddenly, pulling N from his thoughts and pulling the phone from the leader’s hands before he could react, “what are you reading?”

“Nothing important,” N said, trying to grab the phone only for Hyuk to hold it just out of his reach, “Hyuk, give me back my phone.”

“Nope,” Hyuk laughed, “I wanna see what you’re reading.”

“I told you it’s nothing important,” N scowled, lunching for the phone and failing once more.

“You always say things like that,” Hyuk sighed sadly, “and it’s never nothing.”

“But this time it is,” N made one last grab for the phone before Hyuk stood up and ran out of the room, phone still in his hands. N made to chase after him, but Hyuk was already in his room and N heard the lock click before he was half way across the room.

“Hyuk!” N cried, panicked, “please give me back my phone. Please don’t read anything.”

N got to response and soon fell silent, just waiting for everything he’d feared to happen. Hyuk was going to hate him, be completely disgusted in him. Hyuk might even ask to leave the group, unable to be around N anymore. Finally, Hyuk’s door opened and the maknae made his way over, silent as the grave and face blank.

“Hyuk?” N finally said when the other sat down beside him.

“You really should have said something, hyung,” Hyuk finally sighed, “I’ve been in love with you for ages.”

“What?” N blinked and Hyuk leaned over to kiss him

“You really should have said you liked me,” Hyuk grinned, “then we wouldn’t have been stuck reading chasang fics for so long when we could have actually been together.”
